Re: 2012 Elections Part I: All Politics is Yokel

Far be it from me to use logic, but if Tea Partiers are such sticklers for the Constitution, then why do they use God in arguments. I seem to remember a part of the constitution that has a little something about the separation of church and state. Is that still in there?

There is no mention in the Constitution about the separation of Church and State.

Well, as usual the Republican party is going to ruin the election. They long for purity and they vote for dirt? Really?
It's just really hard to find a pro-torture, anti-gay, pro-invasion, anti-immigrant, pro-execution, anti-woman, pro-debtors' prison, anti-science, pro-crony capitalist person of conscience.

Though technically you were inaccurate, the Knucks have no love for the Establishment Clause, which is in the Constitution.

They'd like to change it (The Constitution) in many ways even though they proselytize it so much. Bachmann even said that was one of things she was bringing to the White House.

1. Abolish lifetime tenure for federal judges by amending Article III, Section I of the Constitution.
2. Congress should have the power to override Supreme Court decisions with a two-thirds vote.
3. Scrap the federal income tax by repealing the Sixteenth Amendment.
4. End the direct election of senators by repealing the Seventeenth Amendment.
5. Require the federal government to balance its budget every year.
6. The federal Constitution should define marriage as between one man and one woman in all 50 states.
7. Abortion should be made illegal throughout the country.

You forgot the best one, repeal the Fourteenth Amendment. Because extending the Bill of Rights to the states was tyranny!

So this song definitely applies to them:

Michele Bachmann meets all those criteria. And more.

Actually, as you well know, it was never "in there." What there is is a prohibition against the government establishing a state religion. Resume your snarking.

Who are those people?

Yeah, she's also anti-HPV vaccine. More women with cervical cancer is a cause we can all get behind!

I appreciate Rick Perry for his brave anti-cancer position. He can't be bought by Big Cancer for $5000.

My, my, we took a double dose of our libtard vitamins this morning, didn't we? Perhaps what the ladies of the chorale should do is hire a grant writer. Maybe Deadmeat's HHS can offer some federal cheese to help you through the inevitable depression when Bachmann drops out of the race. And Ron Paul. And Santorum. And Newt. And Herman.

Vaccinations are socialist.

I look forward to a future Republican blanket opposition to all medical care. If God wants you to have a disease, who are you to oppose His will?
