Re: 2012 Elections: Corndogs for everyone!

I understand its a law. I don't care that its a law, its wrong.

Okay by me. Again, for the umpteenth time, all I object to here are Scoobie's lies. And the suggestion that out of state kids are somehow relevant to this discussion.

Listen, shut up, once Old Pio has said that the law is fine it's fine. It's your duty as someone who is not Old Pio to just accept this.

Re: 2012 Elections: Corndogs for everyone!

My objection here is the notion that comparing illegals who live in Texas to kids who don't is appropriate. It isn't. If you want to object to the law, knock yourself out. I can't imagine I would have supported it when proposed ten years ago. But what does some punk in Rhode Island have to do with what goes on in Texas? Answer: nothing. Some of us have even claimed Texas is "giving away" higher education to illegals, which is simply a lie.

As to Deadmeat, his prospects for getting anything substantial passed have diminished considerably. And with luck, will disappear altogether.

They are giving it away. Out of State tuition is ALWAYS more expensive. They are spending their tax dollars on illegals. Certainly illegals are "out of state". That means that illegals are getting a better deal in Texas than any other American. That's not only anti-American, it's wrong.

Oh well, I hadn't considered that instead of a liar you're just a fool. I'll let you know what I decide. In the meantime, nobody is "giving away" education to illegals in Texas, notwithstanding your strenuous, illogical efforts to claim otherwise. Liar. Why don't you just argue the central point rather than continue revealing yourself as a knothead to everyone who posts here? Just a thought.

You remind me of those info-mercials: "We're giving away some useless piece of sh*t for only 19.95." Well, they're either giving it away or selling it. I think the 1% of Texas college students who are enrolled under this law are entitled to refunds. After all, the fool on USCHO says they're being "given" the education.

I don't think I like the law. But I think words and their meanings are important. And presumably college educated adults should endeavor to use words correctly. And "given" is not accurate and in your case, is a lie. Deal with it.

The central point is that Texas is discriminating against out of state students. We don't do that in our state. I think we should start. Texans can be the first residents that we can start charging MORE than out of state tuition.

I don't think anyone in Texas gives a flying phuck what you do in your state. I know I don't. You are so full of shiza. Please reread your sentence "Texans can be the first residents that we start charging more. . ." Stupid. Very stupid, since the context of that sentence is what "we do in our state." So these people are either Texans or residents of your state. Doesn't seem plausible that they could be both. Stupid. Very stupid. And verging on illiteracy.

I said "Texan Residents" can start paying more in our state. Sorry I didn't clarify it for you since my train of thought has been very clear. But, yes, I'm the illiterate one. You just continue to defend this state's rights thing. Typical Repub. It's always state rights until it's marriage, or abortion, or sodomy, etc. etc. etc. Hypocrisy your name is Old Pio.

Perhaps. But at least I'm not a liar. On balance, I think I'm ahead of the game here. And your libtard response to the alleged discrimination by Texas against kids from other states is to. . .discriminate against Texas kids? Stupid. Very stupid. You're right, what we need is a federal law regulating tuition at the various state universities. Libtards never fail to amaze.

Yes, yes, I'm a liar. If you add up the tuition savings that illegals are getting in the State of Texas it equates to giving away many college educations. It's simple math. I'm not surprised that you can't add or subtract, because you also can't follow a simple train of thought. Oh, and I never argued that there should be a national law. My argument has always been that Rick Perry and Texas is wrong and they should be called out on it every chance anyone gets.

Oh, and by the way. There is a law.

Federal law passed in 1996 prohibits illegal aliens from receiving in-state tuition rates at public institutions of higher education. Specifically, Section 505 of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (Title 8, Chapter 14, Sec. 1623(a)) states: "an alien who is not lawfully present in the United States shall not be eligible on the basis of residence within a State (or a political subdivision) for any postsecondary education benefit unless a citizen or national of the United States is eligible for such a benefit (in no less an amount, duration, and scope) without regard to whether the citizen or national is such a resident."

Several states -- Texas, California, New York, Utah, Illinois, Washington, Nebraska, New Mexico, Maryland (community colleges), Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Kansas -- have passed state laws providing in-state tuition benefits to illegal aliens who have attended high school in the state for three or more years

These state laws attempt to circumvent the federal law by simply not asking students whether they are in the US legally.

So, Texas IS BREAKING FEDERAL LAW. Way to go Rick Perry!!!!!

Redefinitions, withdrawals and walk backs notwithstanding, you're a liar. You've lied repeatedly on this subject. And my confidence is high that even liberal posters will overwhelmingly agree. You think your overstated, hyperbolic opinions are cute. And sometimes they are. But in this instance you're revealed yourself to be a liar. And a stubborn one at that. Also stupid.

Well, if Texas is breaking the federal law, then let's get Deadmeat's hard nosed Attorney General to get after it. He certainly has no apparant interest in voter intimidation cases involving white voters. Plus, carefully selected quotes from that website don't prove a thing.

I've just proven that Rick Perry is breaking Federal Law. That's all that matters here. Thus, I'm not lying. They are "according to Federal Law"

providing a benefit that they should not be providing.

I win.

Uh, Mr. Liar, changing the subject isn't going to get it. The issue is whether or not Texas is "giving" education to illegals. Not whether there are federal laws addressing the matter. As a strong proponant of enforcing federal laws, I assume you're deeply concerned about states ignoring DOMA and federal laws against pot. So why don't you encourage Deadmeat's useless piece of shiza AG to enforce all federal laws, not just the ones you like. We could start with laws about intimidating voters, minority and white. You're still a liar. And I think we should get neutral parties to adjudicate this. I don't think your unilateral declaration of "victory" is acceptable.

You really have an ho over Rick Perry, don't you? And he believes in G*d, too. Horrors.

So, the 2012 election thread subject is "ScoobyDoo is a liar"?

Awesome.

Rick Perry is a scumbag.

You speak like a man with personal experience. Change of subject, again, Mr. Liar. Enforce DOMA? Enforce pot laws? Evidently not. BTW, you're seriously not important enough to warrant a thread.

You're schizophrenic to? Who knew?

I believe it should be "too" and not "to," genius. So now we change the subject once again, Mr. Liar, to my alleged mental defects. Because the only acceptable reason for disagreeing with you is mental illness? I can't know for sure, of course, but these puerile rants probably aren't helping whatever meager reputation you have.

And a Spelling Nazi. You sure are talented.

At least I'm not breaking any Federal Laws like your buddy, Rick Perry.
