Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

I, honestly, no sandbagging involved, don't think Detroit wins Game 7. This kind of stuff happens once every 30-35 years. Chicago didn't pull it off, Detroit isn't going to either. It's just nice for the fans that they've clawed all the way back.

Worth noting is that the three times it has happened, it was out east - DET/TOR, NYI/PIT, and BOS/PHI are easy distances compared to CHI/VAN and DET/SJ. West Coast travel is a bitch this time of year.

Can the Wings win Game 7? Sure. Will I be happy if they do? Yes! Will they win? Not likely.

This is a very good point. Will the Wings rest though help them do it? It's an interesting game. We all know SJ chokes hard, so that's a mental hurdle for them to overcome as well.

All in all, GAME 7!! nothing gets better than that!

Playoff hockey, even in the house of the enemy: pretty fun.

The actual effort on the ice by the Sharks made me want to do this in shame.

No way. I will not cheer for Red Wings over the Canucks. If the Sharks lose, I'm 100% on the Vancouver bandwagon.

I agree. I can't cheer for them either. That Todd Bertuzzi chant needs to go as well. Hopefully we heard it for the last time last night.

If the Sharks players did that, Joe would put the sword under his arm and pretend to die.

Why the loathing for the Bruins? I mean, they haven't won anything in almost 40 years so why the hatred?

We've seen how you acted with the Red Sox and Patriots "who hadn't won in ages" and want no part of that again in our favorite sport. :p

Still tons of seats left for the Lightning games. Wish I could go...

So, uh...was that you behind Howard last night in the teal and white colored sweater?
