Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

I think the ref just told Thornton to quit his *ing crying.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

Once again, just when you're ready to give up and starting throwing stuff, Detroit breaks through in the third.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

Niemi's charm just broke. Wings will score again. You're going to hear that godawful Journey song. Mark it down. :)

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

Joe Thornton has been a toolbag in this series.

...that said, I'm just happy we're even in it. :)

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

Yeah, he's due for a good Kronwalling.

This might be the last time we hear PA announcer Budd Lynch. He is 92 now.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

Gotta love hearing Phantom Planet on the PA... if you wish to poison the atmosphere with canned music, it might as well be funny.

The rare situation where I actually cheer for the Red Wings, and it pays off. Entertaining game, too.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

Did I just hear on Versus that Pavel Datsyuk was Mike Keenan's x-factor?

How is Datsyuk an x-factor? He's already factors a thru w.

The injury, I guess, but . . .

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

Well, the Red Wing bandwagon is open to all, regardless of original rooting interests. We do not discriminate.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

Well, for one more game and one more series, at least. Unless the Bolt win the East. In which case, go win it all.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

I am having a tough time figuring who would be more likely to beat the Mothercanuckers.
