I hate him because he destroyed UND in the NCAAs..his speed was his best assest last night, that kid was everywhere.

They were clapping and cheering for him when he got up and was going off the ice. The cameras never showed what was on the video board or why the fans were booing, but it was clearly after McQuaid was off the ice and into the locker room.

Heh not sure goons put up over 1 PPG in their first two years of college. He might have beaked your team , but this happens every night in D1.

I think JVR played soft when he first came into the NHL. I was questionable if he would cut the flyers roster, but last night showed a huge step up in his game. Every time he went to the net, I cringed. He was making stuff happen. He had speed that beat Chara and Ference on occasion. He had a shot he could get up high close to the net. He could pass even if he was knocked down. In a year, he went from soft kid with good hands to a fast kid who is making D sweat.

Going to Game 3 of Preds-'Nucks tonight. They're giving away free gold t-shirts to all fans in an attempt to "gold-out the arena". Really?!? It's not like Gold has been a primary color for the team. I have a feeling this is going to look really stupid. I suppose it is better than the gosh awful mustard stain jersey color.

I completely disagree with this... my wife said it to me before I said anything, but it was while he was still laying on the ice when she turned to me and said, "that's philly fans for you, booing a guy who is laying on the ice clearly injured." It was not when he was off, it was when he was still lying on the ice.

Maybe goon was the wrong word. Punk was a better word for him. Can't say I saw that in the last two games though....

going #2 is going to do that to you. remember, every time he got dangled hit or beat in college, you better believe some kid would chirp up a storm. A famous one was when a kid on the dartmotuh club beat him on a dangle and beaked something like ' nice going NHL draft pick'. JVR only responded ' you know me, i dont know you'.

It might not be that bad. I guess we will see. Just be loud and beat Vancouver!

I think the arena will rock. The Preds have had good support this year, and they even had a good crowd of people greet them at the airport when they returned form Vancouver after game 2.

I'm hoping for a Nashville-Tampa final, because I want the sky to fall.

Yeah that resurrected Joe Thornton thread would go crazy but I think there needs to be one for Luongo or the Sedin sisters if it happens. :D

Jeez, I didn't remember that. I only remembered Gerbe for that. I guess I better cheer for JVR then. :p

I hope JVR keeps this up because he could be an integral part of the 2014 US Olympic team if the NHLers are allowed to compete.
