Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

I can understand things like the handstand (liability), but not touching the glass? I'd stand there and take my finger, and poke the glass. Just to make a point. It's BS. I think it's a horrendous bit, but I also think they should be able to heckle the penalty box occupants to a point.

MORE BONUS HOCKEY!

OT Winner Time...

Daniel for the Canucks
Tootoo for the Preds.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

"Ehrhoff shoots it! Missed the net high!"

And across the bay area, hockey fans chuckle.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

Vancouver to the power play on an incredibly weak hooking call.

Edit: Vancouver wins. Kesler held Weber's stick, too.

No more whining from Vancouver's front office on that subject.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs II: Welcome to Smashville

Tough one tonight in Nashville. The preds definitely didn't deserve to win, they didn't play well at all, but that call in OT...

Have to say the "gold out" looked better than I thought it would. Good atmosphere for about 20 minutes of that game, the rest was zzzzzzzzzzzzzz..........

It looked good on TV!

Soooo... Tampa Bay vs Boston and Vancouver vs San Jose?

Not exactly the who's who of playoff hockey. Although I guess TB would be the team with the most recent success.

I guess i am rooting for TB vs Nashville. But that just seems unlikely.

Boston isn’t going to advance if they rely on Thomas to make 50+ saves every game. This series is FAR from over. The fans know it, the players know it, and the coaching staff knows it. Philly is legit, and they will come back if given even a small window to do so. The boston’s D almost didn’t have an answer to jvr, and they are going to have too especially if Carter is back in the mix soon.

As for my other predictions, I picked Washington, Nashville and SJ to advance. Suppose I should stay out of betting and leave that to Ben Rothstein from Casino.

My Preseason pick for the Cup Finals on our radio show was Vancouver vs. Boston. I guess I'll stick with that moving forward but San Jose is looking like a really strong team in the West.

Gary will put the Sharks on a permanent 5 on 3 disadvantage to let Detroit "fight back" in the series. :D

Land Rover, 5th/3rd bank, Goo Goo clusters, and Hunt Bros Pizza.

Seeing the highlights this morning, it did look ok. Rumor is that Gold will be the primary color next year. Ugh. :o

It looked orange to me. There was more orange in that arena than on I-75.
