Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

Last two years of Bryzgalov deal are 2.25M and 1.25M.

Let's hope the league does something.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

I love watching the Flyers being dismembered. The Rangers are under the cap and ready to make a splash.

Holy crap. Mike Richards deal official.

Hey Richards, shut your mouth about "respect". You obviously had ZERO in your own room, loser.

Lol. Any evidence of that? The report I saw said richards and laviolette were at odds. That's certainly different than not being respected by teammates. Who has more respect around the league? Richards or p.k. freakin' subban?

Anyway, dumb moves by the flyers in my opinion. Bryzgalov is obviously a significant upgrade, but what a terrible contract. Not to mention I don't think he's as good as they apparently do.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

Carter to the BJs was rumored a month ago, but the deal with the Kings was a Rule 48 on me.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

Also, if Philly still has to make cap room, they are overloaded with defensemen. Been mentioned as a possible partner for Detroit's need to replace Rafi.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

Setoguchi resigns in San Jose, 3 years, 3 million per. Three year window continues.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

Andrei Markov (remember him?) stays in Montreal; 3 year deal with an average annual value of 5.75M per.

Is your memory seriously that short, or is just willful ignorance on your behalf? Richards and locker room issues have been a well established theme for 2 years running. Here's what Pierre Lebrun said just today:

Now you know for sure that rumors things weren't right in Flyers dressing room were absolutely true

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

So that's about 282k per game played each season, right?

Orthopedic surgeons are very happy. :D

This was pretty much assured; though the addition of a third year was a surprise. He'll be a terrific mentor for Emelin/Yemelin. Gorges, Weber are next; 50/50 that Hamrlik is back at a reduced rate, and Wisniewski I would think is almost assuredly gone.

LOL

As for the richards thing...that's pretty much why I asked for evidence. I didn't know that was out there even though I still haven't seen any specifics. Nonetheless, still a lame attempt to somehow try and make subban look good.

Well, not sure when mommy makes you go to bed, but perhaps you can squeeze in a little research on google; I'm not doing the work for you. As I have said, Richards and locker room drama have been fodder for over two years. It's well established.

As for making Subban look good - he had enough respect to be selected to the All-Rookie team over Cam Fowler and Kevin Shattenkirk, so I'd say he's faring pretty well.

Really? Mommy jokes? I don't think you wanna go there and neither do I. I asked for evidence and you provided it. Thanks.

Subban is a phenomenal talent--hopefully he matures and learns to just play the game. Richards has been an all star, no? That part of it is irrelevant.

Curious, do you feel the same about Brad Marchand? Because I'm with a growing number of people - media types, too - that think there is a huge double standard when it comes to Marchand/Subban. If you feel the same way about Marchand - that "hopefully he matures and just plays the game" - then I'll be impressed.

I saw Marchand mature in the 2nd half and the playoffs. Plays hard, and yeah he can dish out the cheap shots here and there, but he doesnt dive/embellish. He had 6 goals in the first half of the season, and finished with 21. 11 Playoff goals, and to be honest, the Bruins wouldnt have won the cup without the rookie stepping up. With all due respect, Marchand plays a complete game of hockey. Old time hockey, getting under the skin and taking shots when you can.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

Yes, there are things marchand does that I don't like. Happy?
