Good link for DIII (and DI) recruits. Another one for Oswego, Eli Kim-Swallow of the St. Michael's Buzzers.

Also, I see that Cards noted Rodrigues was headed to Oswego back in February, I missed that. The official announcement from the Markham site did not come out until April 10th. Cards is way ahead of the game! Rodrigues was out of the line-up for the last 6 months of the season (as noted by Prez that he only played a handful of games). I couldn't find any mention of an injury on the web. Norm???
A new one for Oswego, Eli Kim-Swallow of the St. Michael's Buzzers. He had 11 Goals and 20 assists this season between North York and St. Michaels. He is not a real big kid at 5-10, 185 but I guess he is a solid penalty killer and could be a good role player for Oswego plus he has a pretty cool name.

A player in the EJHL this season committed to play for a NCAA college hockey team for next season but the player played 4 games in the QMHL during his junior career. I thought if you played major junior you became NCAA ineligible.
I believe it only makes you ineligible for athletic scholarship.
No, you lose a season of eligibility for each season that you play. I believe the one extra game per game played was dropped a couple of years ago.
Well a couple of years back NEC had a player with 220 plus Major Junior games on their roster and pleaded dumb on the knowing the rules and the NCAA let them off the hook....![]()
14.2.4.3.3 Major Junior A Ice Hockey. An individual who participates on a Major Junior A ice hockey
team shall use a season of intercollegiate participation for each calendar year or sport season in which the
individual participates, regardless of when such participation occurs (including participation during high
school enrollment). The individual must also fulfill an academic year of residence (see Bylaw 14.02.10)
prior to being eligible to represent the institution in intercollegiate competition in the sport of ice hockey.

So it looks like a 2 for 1?The most recent regulation concerning Major Junior Competition - the game for game thing is gone...

Question pursuant to this: while a former Major Junior player sits out his first year of school, does "represent[ing] the institution in intercollegiate competition" mean that he's still allowed to participate in practices, a la redshirting? I would imagine fluffy bunny issues could easily crop up if players were on campus but expected to avoid hockey entirely.
A little birdie told me that those two posters might have something going in the not-terribly-distant future, and that birdie agrees with your guess that it will be hosted at a D3WH address.![]()
What happened to the this "little birdie"? Anyone know?
I've heard that the little birdie is currently enroute or soon to be enroute over the Atlantic Ocean. My guess would be to look for it within the next couple weeks.
