2011 Division III Commitments

Re: 2011 Division III Commitments

Too many Chiefs, not enough Indians...

You would hope that wasnt the case, and the idea that you have been a captain or assistant would make you more aware of what it takes to become one at the collegiate level, which of course would be the hard work that the 'indians " have to put in b4 becoming the captain , and of course most capts and asst. are top talent as well, I guess only time will tell, but as a Oz fan looks good so far as the recruits roll in.............hope to see more for oz and the other teams.....my only thought is diversity, as in players from other parts of the country/ies, different styles in different leagues, like out west/calgary etc, Oz stays close to home wish we could branch out a little, perhaps some more downstate players, we have been known to play some pretty good hockey ;=))

Am I reading this correctly? 98 pts. in only 22 games played?

edit: 1 for SNC - Dean Youngblood, 50 gp 125 g 150 a 275pts 10 pim (just 2 fights with Karl Raki)

It should read 98pts in 55 games played. he was the #3 in points, behind 2 of his teammates who had 106pts each.

Re: 2011 Division III Commitments

thats alot of pts, where did the 2 top scorers go...... to the NHL??

I keep looking for commitments on those two but I haven't seen anything anywhere and I can't seem to find the place where all the Division I recruits used to be compiled.

If I remeber the Janke kid lit it up as well in that league, is that a high octane league??

It's produced a lot of fine talents for Norwich.

The Schroeder brothers, Chad Anderson, Travis Janke and Tory Allan just to name a few all came from the SJHL.

It's looks like a pretty solid league from my understanding. I'm curious to see what he has considering it sounds like he was playing with two absolute studs which obviously makes points easier. Those three were the most potent line in the league by far.

One of the kids, Carre, was selected in the USHL draft last week. He is only 19 years old and has another year of Jr eligibility left. He also has 13 major Jr games under his belt, that may affect his college options.

Yes, 55 games is correct! My typo, must have been too early in the morning for me or maybe it was the excitement of finally beating CARDS to a committment announcement. He sets a standard most of us can just aspire too but never match.
