2011-2012 North Dakota Offseason Thread

Re: 2011-2012 North Dakota Offseason Thread

That's very doubtful, why punish team members who were sitting at home watching TV?

Why not? Heck why not put every student at UND on probation because of it? That is if they aren't already.

I believe that it's because of what happened at NDSU that it was done this way.
School administrators and athletic directors are under ever increasing scrutiny about how they respond to bad behavior, allegations of wrongdoing, or events that could endanger the lives of students or others who come in contact with the University. From the Penn State events to the hazing deaths at colleges and universities down south to the recent events at NDSU, everyone demands swift and sure action, usually taken long before the events were even discovered.

I don't have any problem with college students and student-athletes having a few beers and having a good time. But the same adage needs to apply to them just like it does to all adults: DRINK RESPONSIBLY! Unfortunately some college kids - and far too many adults - never learn what this means.

UND AA meetings: "Hi, my name is Danny Kristo, I'm an alcoholic with an attitude. I got drunk again...but I had my shoes on!"

Danny Kristo, one of four who got suspended for opener earlier, got another one-game susupenion Fri. for unrelated matter ...

Andrew Panzarella, Connor Gaarder and Stephane Pattyn will all sit out UND's second game of season on Oct. 20. ...

Party on, North Dakota!

Party on, North Dakota!

I actually didn't intend it as a pile-on per se. It sucks for them and I imagine things that took place are not all that uncommon on other campuses. The biggest bummer might be for Kristo given the repeats.

Kristos crap is and has gotten old. Obviously it seems to me he doesn't really want to play in the NHL or he would of gotten his shyt together after his first offense. Not even sure what number he is on now but it's ridiculous. It won't bother me one bit if he gets nailed again and is shown the door.

Kristo could have left and played professionally this year and I think that might have been the better decision for him. I personally saw some antics from him two years ago at the Mankato series that I found questionable... Bad taste in the mouth for the start of the season for sure.
