2011-2012 North Dakota Offseason Thread

Re: 2011-2012 North Dakota Offseason Thread

Does he also have a guide on how to post links on message boards? Because you evidently could use it. Or perhaps our resident Harvard Apologist has a guide.

How did they think they'd fit the whole team in there? Does Rocco drive a clown car?

Rocco and I will be throwing the stones.

So, it was with sheep, otherwise the same thing.

You missed a golden opportunity here, Happy. If I were you I'd have gone with: Obviously, they've won a National Championship this millennium.

Also you are much more fun that the Harvard Apologist as you can at least be humorous. He just seems like a grumpy old man. I wonder what UND did to him that got his shorts in such a fit?

:p:D:D Agreed!

What's comical is that North Dakota actually does something about this (and the cops in North Dakota actually arrest players), and many people from other programs are saying that this is a bad thing? If you want to live in a fantasy world where your team's players don't drink before the age of 21 and don't make stupid choices (legal or scholastic), then go enjoy it.

Isn't there some sort of phrase about those without sin should cast the first stone?

OK. I'm not usually blind to my own faults, but I think can safely say I've been without sin for long enough to cast stones or lawnmowers or anything else I can get my hands on. Not that I don't want to sin--I do, badly. But I chase after it only to end with my hands on my knees gasping for breath and watching it run away to someone younger and better looking. To be a hockey player at UND is to be a God surrounded to Goddesses bringing wine and seeking favor--give me that!! But I don't have that, and it makes me resentful, to be honest, and very willing to throw stones.

Now if I were a hockey player at Minnesota or Wisconsin, things would be much different. Who wants to party with or bed someone who claims to be a hockey player but who not only settled for such a program but is very likely to be both ugly and uninteresting to boot? I'd be staying at the library until 9:30 p.m. and going straight home for a bowl of hot oatmeal too. And that would be no different from the pitiful and sinfully sinless life I already have.

Happy, you're slipping quite a bit lately. Did you recently lose a family pet or something, because you haven't really been on your game. It's disappointing really...

I always lay back during the offseason. There are no games, wins, losses, stats, etc to throw in people’s faces, and I never pretend I have some inside information. However, I can always count on UND to get arrested or have some other lack of character issue come up for the offseason. Hopefully, there is way more info behind the scenes, and some more lawnmower throwin, elevator ****in facts come out.

Yeah, but I don't pay attention to that ***** style of Hockey they play out East, so I wouldn't know how many they have won since the last one UND won. I know the WCHA has won 6 or 7 since UND got lucky, but who's counting.

I wish BYU had a program right about now...

Re: 2011-2012 North Dakota Offseason Thread

It was probably a sex party and a rape cover up.

Faison said the program will be under probation under which any further violations by a team member could result in immediate reduction of scholarship, suspension from competition, or expulsion from the program. He also says the team will have an implementation of a mandatory team community service program and a weekly team alcohol education program.

You're probably not too far off the mark in mentioning a "cover up". The question is how many players were really involved? It strikes me as strange that Faison essentially put the whole team on probation indicating there is a much larger undisclosed issue involved here.

I believe that it's because of what happened at NDSU that it was done this way.

So in UND's Alcoholics Anonymous team meetings is Ralphie the higher power?

New footage of the party has surfaced, here is a small clip. The Whioux know how to get their party on!
