I am laughing so loud right now. KSTP Joe Schmit with the error of the day. he just said, Minnesota is 2 wins away from there 7th national championship. Hey MR KSTP Joe Schmit, that would be there 6th national championship.

It would indeed be winning their seventh. But, only the sixth that anyone really cares about.

I think you misunderstood my point. I wasn't trying to argue that BC shouldn't be favored - they absolutely should be, but it's not because the Gophers lost to NE.

He is kind of right. Currently the Gophers own 5 NCAA National Championships and 1 AAU championship.

I don't think the NCAA recognizes AAU titles... :) I know a while back when UMN was winning their back-to-back titles one of my friends who was a Gopher fans was talking about Olympic titles as well and how the golden rodents could add those to their total as well.

:rolleyes: If you guys had some sort of underwater basketweaving contest plaque, you'd hold it over us just on the chance it would annoy some of us.

And we would have had some underwater basketweaving plaques too, except we . . . uh . . . kind of choked a couple of times there at the weaving bee. Screwed by the judges, actually.
