Atlanta is said to be shopping their 8th overall pick, and Florida is also looking to trade the #15 they got from Boston. A couple teams with lower picks could be moving up tonight.

How far up to the Caps have to move to get Tinordi???? 15 may do it. Swap 1st rounders with FLA and throw in Giroux or Bourque.

I forget. Did your boys play against Tinordi this season? Good grief, he's going to be a monster.

In fairness to you, there are a lot of people that question the success of the Bruins' goaltending being more related to a system than the talent level of the goalie.

I don't think Sinden has any say in what's going on here. To me, it's all about Neely/Chiarelli. I believe Chiarelli is still calling the shots in the end, but if Neely doesn't like how things are going, he can pull the plug on Chia pet.

Is severely overrated better?

He had one good year and the Bruins and the hockey world went fellating over him.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.;)

Speaking of total crap: who gives one? That city is a ****hole that shouldn't have an NHL team in the first place; Sherman didn't do a thorough enough job burning it to the ground.

I don't know about "the hockey world", but the Bruins and the fans were high on him because he was better than the other options at the time. He was supposed to be a backup, and won the starting job.

Doesn't excuse the most recent contract though.

Hmm are you talking in general? Or specifically Thomas? Because Rask has been considered one of the best goaltending prospects in recent memory and his numbers were great. He was pretty good in the playoffs too. No question that Julien will always be a defensive first coach, but that shouldn't take away from how Thomas played last year and how Rask played this year.

The only person who overrated Thomas was Chiarelli (unfortunately). I don't think the "hockey world" overrates him at all. He deserved the Vezina and wasn't horrible this past year. He's a solid NHL goaltender.

Fixed

You may not agree, but there are a number of NHL goalies who would consider a .915 SV% a pretty solid season. Is he worth what he makes? Not really, but something tells me that if he were making a couple million less, he'd be much better trade bait.

You're asking for my own personal opinion? My opinion is that Thomas benefits moreso than Rask does from Julien's system. I'm well aware of Rask's pedigree. Ferguson's decision to keep Pogge over him was a collosal error.

Nope -- he was off in the NTDP land and they did not play Salem State.

The question is, OHL or NCAA?

Well, he's committed to Notre Dame, so for the moment I'm guessing NCAA. I'm also guessing that he's not there long, 2 years tops.
