* The Predators have given Denis Grebeshkov's agent permission to seek a trade, according to Darren Dreger.

Darren Dreger is tweeing that that the Oilers are trying to get the second pick from Boston.

That would be hilarious if it actually happened.

Good thing for him the commish doesn't say a whole heck of a lot at the NHL draft outside of the opening welcome. The teams make the announcements.

I love hockey as much as the next fan, but if there isn't free food and cheap beer at the Arena, you won't catch me there dead to watch a friggin' draft. Seriously, what the hell are those people in Edmonton doing for the next few hours?

Ballard and Oreskovich head to Vancouver for Bernier, Grabner, and the 25th overall pick.

Oilers offered Cogliano straight up to Florida for the 15th overall, and were turned down (Dreger).

I just double checked and realized that Fowler had indeed not been picked yet, and that the Rangers took McIlrath instead of him. Either he has some major skeletons, or someone is going to get a steal.

EDIT: Of course, he would go to the Ducks. :rolleyes:
