Out of curiosity, why? I'm completely neutral towards the Caps, but they've built the best organization in the NHL top to bottom. Would that the Islanders had their act together a tenth as much.

I don't hate the Caps because of their D-III ties with Keith Aucoin and their web page content producer going to Oswego and Neumann.
However, I certainly don't love them either. Ovechkin and Crosby are almost on the same level to me now. Ovechkin just gets away with dirty hits and Crosby dives and whines.
Their fans are about the most annoying bandwagoners in the league right now too next to Pittsburgh.
I guess part of it too though is jealousy at the fact they sucked for forever and now they are reaping the benefits while my team, the Rangers, always do just enough to either get into the playoffs, or just miss them and then never get the opportunity to draft players of the caliber the Pens and Caps have now.

They have their starting goaltender locked up for the next 12 years, right?Would that the Islanders had their act together a tenth as much.
Easy solution: make trades with the Maple Leafs. Works for the B's.

So, I wasn't really paying attention, are you a Sharks fan who's tired of seeing Nabokov chokov, or a fan of another team that is hopelessly praying that he'll become a UFA so they can snatch them up and have him choke for them? I'm in the latter personally.

Sharks fan that doesn't want the team to spend more than $3 million on goaltending for the roster, and spend the other $3 million from last year toward finding defensemen who can still skate. Since I doubt Nabokov is going to take a pay cut from 5.375 to 2.3, I am displeased with this turn of events.
