Re: 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs III: "Don't Toews Me, Bro!"

Are we pretending that Boston sports fans have always given a crap about the Pats, and that that's not just in the past ten years or so?

Hm..I'll give the Pats a pass. They've sold out every game since 1992.

Re: 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs III: "Don't Toews Me, Bro!"

you want 98.5 FM the sports hub anyway. that is the channel for the bruins now.

Not that it ever was WEEI. They'd discuss the Bruins, but it was like forcing a kid to eat broccoli.

98.5 will be flooded with Bruins calls. The show to listen to will be Felger and Massaroti Monday after work. Felger might go nuclear.

So does this mean the snowball and hell are tied at 1?

I tried it out, but it sounds like they have some national show with Freddie Kohlman on. Disappointing.

they would have the sox on now... so they have a back up program going out due to mlb ruless

Hell tied it up when the Flyers tied it up/went ahead. Hell broke the tie when time expired.

And then netted a flurry of goals after the buzzer that somehow counted.

Hell 38, Snowball, 1.

Poor "Nu" Jack Edwards. I could only imagine what is going through his mind.

Re: 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs III: "Don't Toews Me, Bro!"

can we stick to major, professional sports?

thanks in advance.;)

I wasn't trying to start a soccer discussion:D .

Just saying, throw the biggest pity party you want, but let's not suggest Boston fans care more about the soccer team than the Bruins.

kinda funny how the b's won the first three, then the flyers won the last four to win the series... in the final game where the b's scored the first three, then the flyers scored the last four to win the game....

Symmetry can be a beetch.

Re: 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs III: "Don't Toews Me, Bro!"

You know, I do feel for the Bruins fans. While I question why they continue to root for the team, anybody still pulling for those bums after all these years clearly is dedicated. What I don't feel bad for, and what I' m openly laughing at, is the organization. This is what happens when you continually put an inferior product on the ice for decades, but then charge the highest ticket prices in the league. Screw them. I can already see the offseason marketing campaign as they fire the coach and claim their vaunted draft prowess will lead the team to the promised land....only to have them fire the coach against next year while they fail to sign their top draft choices..

Re: 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs III: "Don't Toews Me, Bro!"

I guess I'll have to cheer for Montreal in the conference finals - never thought I'd be saying that. Philadelphia, no. Just stop.

Clearly. Anyone who comes into a topic they haven't visited in weeks simply to remind people (after a devastating loss) as to how stupid they are for still following the team in the first place is the epitome in compassion.

Boo hoo hoo. There's no excuses for this, and it couldn't have happened to a nicer ownership. Do you even think Jacobs cares that they lost, beyond the lost concessions revenue? I don't, and there lies the problem with this organization. Stop running out a team of 4th liners and 6th defensemen and maybe stuff like this stops happening.
