2010 Baseball Hall of Fame Class

Re: 2010 Baseball Hall of Fame Class

Kevin Brown in the Hall of Fame...really? Oh wait there is a stat for that!

Seriously it is like Hall of Fame voting is the new iphone! Want to find a way to get your favorite player into the hall of fame...there is a stat for that!

Kevin Brown was amazing. I thought he was great and worthy before I saw the WARP3 numbers. Its an example of my gut thinking he was awesome and being backed up by some sabermetrics.

Announcement is at 2 pm. Peter Gammons on MLB Network just mentioned his ballot this year: Alomar, Blyleven, Dawson, Larkin, Raines, Trammell, McGwire.

No arguments here with that group.

I'd like to see Martinez in the place of Dawson. Besides that, it's an awesome ballot. Unlike Buster Olney voting for Morris and not Blyleven.

The 2010 class is:

Andre Dawson

Veterans Committee elected umpire Doug Harvey and Whitey Herzog.

Blyleven and Alomar just missed.

Re: 2010 Baseball Hall of Fame Class

Nice bump for Morris. Over 50 percent this year.

He's going to have to make a huge leap. But it happened for Rice.

Marginal candidates everywhere are gleeful with Dawson's induction. It lowers the bar substantially for the future.
