Re: 2010/2011 UML In-Season Thread

I asked myself the same question right after that play. I have a series of 5 or 6 pictures that shows he wasn't knocked into Milner from what I could tell.

I have basically the same thing, Wetmore looked like he was going to the front of the net hard and just ran outta room. May have gotten a little help from Almeida with a stick in the ankles but if anything that cause Riley to fall into Milner as opposed to running him over. That being said, how did Milner end up on top of Wetmore at the end of that play?

What's the situation for getting tix to Tsongas for Saturday? Almost sold out? Buy them before hand? Get there early on Saturday evening? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nick, I'm not sure about a sellout, but I would expect a good crowd. The walk up business for the last game (UMA) was insane and buying tickets was a slow process. Many folks missed some of the first period. Hopefully the staff does a better job of getting people in faster for this game. I think if you get there early on Saturday night ~6:00 pm you should be all set. You could even pick up the tickets earlier and then grab a beer/dinner at the Beer Works. I believe the box office opens at 2:00 pm.

This would be my recommendation. Get your tickets early, then head over to get a drink or two (or seven if you're a UML fan).

Thanks guys. That might be a good idea to head over to the Beer Works.

Monty, didn't see you at Conte on Saturday, were you there? I did run into Scott (who was talking to darin at the time) although I was disappointed he didn't have his harem of ladies with him like the last time I saw him at Conte. His forecast ("it's cold") was right on though!!! :D:D:D

Here's the Quiz of the week from today's Boston Herald college hockey article.

This UMass-Lowell skater shared NCAA tournament scoring honors in 1996 with Michigan’s Bill Muckhalt and Brendan Morrison, all with six points.

The answer is at the end of the article.

A little primer for the Falcons tonight.

They're currently 6-12-4 overall (2-8-4 on the road), and led in scoring by senior forwards Erik Peterson (7-7-14)and Dustin Cloutier (5-8-13). Senior Joe Calvi has played the majority of minutes in net, has a 5-6-2 record with a 2.561 GAA and 92.3% save rate.

They're an absolutely pathetic 6 for 100 on the power play (I'm sure you can all do the math), and have killed 83.6% of the penalties they've had.

No better than even strength on the power play... wow.

Re: 2010/2011 UML In-Season Thread

Hopefully the audio feed is in some sort of working order. The audio link on the Bentley schedule for tonight's game links to the UML audio site, so it looks like there's only one team broadcasting tonight.

Maybe with the school back in full swing from the break, the radio feed can get some techie support and be back in working order soon.

Looking for another solid outing tonight. Hopefully the team builds on its 3+ goal performances last weekend, gets the goals against average down, keeps shooting, and kills a penalty. I know Da Costa is fantastic and BC is lethal on the PP, but last weekend was not good for the PK unit at all.

Nevertheless, a lot of positives last weekend (including a win!) and both games were fun to listen to. Would like to see it continue tonight.

If our PK has trouble against a team that's scoring on 6% of their powerplays ... yikes.
