Yes, it was a better game in most regards compared to what we saw over the weekend with Mankato. Only real concern I had was after what turned out to be the GW goal, the team simply deflated and it was downhill from there. The first ten minutes was some of the best hockey I've seen this team all year, but they really had no offensive ideas or answers for UNH. DiGirolamo had a pretty easy night, 25 shots, but I think thre were no more than 5-7 quality shots. More passing around the rosy, especially on the 5x3.
They have to find ways to score and quick. Maybe now that they are going to be on the road for quite some time will get them a much needed change of scenery. It will be a month and a half before the next home game at the Tsongas six weeks from tomorrow (Friday). In some ways, it may be a good thing.
