Re: 2010-2011 Scores and Highlights

(Minnesota vs. UND): Apparently (according to others) a skirmish began at the final horn. Will have to wait to see what additional penalties result from the extra-curriculars.
Some majors and game misconducts were assessed from the extra-curricular activities, but no DQs. Everyone should be available for tomorrow's rematch.

I should have put an asterisk on my comment and said "* Unless the WCHA league office gets involved and dishes out suspensions after-the-fact." :o

Nice win for the Beavers. Have they opened their new building yet?

After last night would expect some more changes in the top ten....

Minny lost to UND again
Hurts lost as well...(I'm smelling a top spot for Cornell, Wisco 2nd in the official poll...Hmm lets see that sounds like what I had in my pre-season poll )

Quinny lost a game.
PC won again and will moving into the top 10.
BC keeps on winning to move up.
BU keeps in winning to move up.
UNH won both, will it be enough to move up ?

Meanwhile the ivies got going. Cornell won, Princeton split with Yale/Brown, Brown won both tilts, and Yale lost both. Princeton also lost a tight one to McGill.

I wouldn't get too excited. Aside from Princeton's tilt with McGill, those "games" are meaningless. In fact, 40 minutes of hockey does not constitute a game at this level.

Re: 2010-2011 Scores and Highlights

UMD sweeps Mankato with a 6-0 shutout today. Five different players scored and the Bulldogs finally looked like they were having fun.

Re: 2010-2011 Scores and Highlights

Any time Brown can say they started the season 2 & 0...they'll take it...(smiley face).

Make that 3-0, they won again today. As Hux sais, these games mean little to most, but to a team like Brown that struggled all year last year, this is just the type of confidence building start this young team needs.

Well aware this games mean little to nothing in the grander scheme of things, but they play these exhibition games for a reason. For younger teams these game are an important part of the pre-season preparation. Harvard, Cornell and Brown all won handily over Etobicoke this weekend as part of their prep for next weekends real games.
