Who knows what that stoppage was for? UMD forward was all alone on the bottom of the cirlce and the ref blows a whistle to talk with the score keepers.

If that's what you want to think, you don't know the history with these two teams. I missed the first half of the third period so I didn't see it, but I'd put some money on it that it wasn't unprovoked.

Congrats to the Sioux. I thought the Dogs controlled the last half of the first period and a good chunk of the second, but penalties cost them the game. December should be fun when the Sioux visit Duluth.

I watched and used the game announcers quote "unprevoked"...Loken didn't appear to say or do anything (going away)...but internet such as it is it's hard to tell. Irwin was given a 2 for interference and the 10...maybe for how she behaved after...don't know...

overall...it was a balanced game from perspective of UND players with several besides Lams making big contributions and a great performance (calm and solid) from Ney in net.
