Nice 8-1 win for a Habs team playing their third straight game with at least 8 regulars out (the last two it was nine, but Gill is back today).

PK Subban with a hat trick, and Ryan White with the Gordie Howe hat trick in the first period.

In addition to the Subban hatty (), that was an impressive number of Habs fans in Minneapolis...and I was just judging by the highlights.

Matt Cooke just needs to have this done to him more often. Maybe then he will play nice.

And that's why this board is awesome. We knew Matt Cooke Matt Cooke'd long before anyone else did. Can we get Crazycanuck back to defend him?

Ryan White is from Manitoba, and had about 200 people at the game.

Tough game for the Wild after what had happened the night before.

Its a tough time in the season for the Wild. They have afternoon games, and no home games Wednesday-Saturday nights for about 4 weeks here with the girls HS tourney, boys HS tourney and Final 5 invading their building. That an about 70% of their fanbase gets preoccupied by HS and college hockey starting at about the time when the section tournaments start for the HS boys. I am a huge Wild fan, and I haven't paid attention to what they're doing, other than the occasional score check, in the last 3-4 weeks. But I've still been to the X for 6 games since that time.

That's pretty weak, they should move that team to Texas or someplace else where people actually care about pro sports. :p

Speaking of attendance...would it surprise anyone to know that Nashville is playing to greater capacity than 11 teams? I've been to almost 20 games this year, and the attendance change has been very noticeable.

Sens sign Craig Anderson to a 4 year deal.

That's a heckuva lot of faith to put into a guy...I don't think a 4 year deal was warranted at all.

Good. That team deserves it. I'd stick them right behind San Jose in "how to build a sunbelt franchise"

And I'm surprised and not about Anderson. There's not a lot of good available goaltending this offseason, and Ellis/Turco kind of hurt the "Buy cheap goalies" plan from last offseason. It's Vokoun and a bunch of meh.

If it ends with another team in CA (maybe, oh, I don't know...in San Diego), I'm all for it!

The Boston Bruins are going down the tubes.

Yes. Next 3 games; NJ, MTL, NYR.

Loss, loss, loss. The snowball just picked up some steam. They've been markedly crappier since the win at Vancouver...

Cooke gets the remaining 10 games of the regular season + 1st round of playoffs. Whoa.

Re: 2010-2011 NHL Season Part II - Concussions Are Serious Business, Savvy?

Cooke suspended for remainder of regular season plus the first round of the playoffs. That's a minimum of 14 games, maximum of 17. Good job, NHL.

Re: 2010-2011 NHL Season Part II - Concussions Are Serious Business, Savvy?

Penguins should cut him. Agreeing with the NHL's verdict isn't enough. Cooke must go.

Careful. A team like Boston could pick him up, then he would get two games tops from there on out. ;)

I wonder if Cooke has business cards that say

Matt Cooke

Professional *********

Once again, this is another reason why the Instigator penalty needs to die. The Rangers had to temper their justice or Prust would've gotten tossed. Let the players police the game. Cooke wouldn't have last in the good old days.
