Okay, I'm a bit less angry with the Bruins now. SOLID win on night 2 of back to back games.
Hold on, you were angry last night after they WON in Pittsburgh? MAN Boston sports fans are spoiled these days.

These are the same fans that were rooting for them to lose during last years playoffs when they got to 3-3 with the Flyers.

Ha who? Dan Shaughnessy and Michael Felger?

I don't know about them, but people on here seemed to prefer the season be over rather than move on to the Conference Finals where they felt they would just lose anyways. I'd search back for it, but I can't figure out how to do that. :o

I wasn't angry at them really. Just frustrated because they show that fire so inconsistently. If they can capture it, they are a dangerous team. But over the whole season they've been horrible inconsistent.

I am glad they finally carried momentum over.

Interesting. Considering Philly beat Montreal rather easily, I certainly don't subscribe to that. Ultimately, Chicago would have wiped the floor with the Bruins...

Oh boo-freakin-hoo. I feel so bad for your division-leading squad.

You want inconsistency, look no further than the Minnesota Wild. Who have once again got me interested by playing well for a week, then sucking the tailpipe in two consecutive third periods and giving back much of the ground they were starting to make up in the process.

Still can't believe the Bruins lost at home to the Wild

oh wait, that's right, the Wild have never lost in Boston! ;)

I know, I sound spoiled. I don't really mean to. It's shocking to me that the Bruins are leading the division. I don't feel they've played well at all over the past month or so, and yet they are still tops in the Northeast. I just see the potential they have if they play like they care.

And my friend is from St. Paul, a HUGE Wild fan, I feel for him. You guys deserve a good hockey club, and the Wild show flashes of it.

Nice to see that the Rangers are once again making a crappy backup goalie look like Jacques Plante.

Edit to add: And an absolute joke of a non-call when PK Subban slewfoots Brandon Dubinsky right in front of the ref. Apparently you're allowed to do that against the Rangers.

They definitely missed that call on Subban. Still, the Rangers just got outworked that game. A perfect example was Pouliot beatong the Ranger D-man (forget which one) back to negate icing in the last couple of minutes. And speaking of the end - man did the Rangers have some great chances in the dying seconds. 10 more seconds on the clock and I think they score.

No Markov, Gorges, Cammalleri, or Price. I'll take it. Jaques Martin has really grown on me as a coach, particularly his game management. I don't think he is very good with younger players, but he does know how to run a game.

No Bruins fan wanted that. That's retarded.

I don't think Auld even saw the puck on half of those chances in the waining seconds either. He just dropped to his knees and prayed the puck hit him, traffic, or went wide.

Wolski nailed the post on a open net too earlier in the period. I agree Montreal outworked the Rangers and deserved the win. Pouliot was impressive.

Look through last seasons playoff threads. I guarantee there were at least two people saying that.

Edit: I went back and searched through it, there was a lot of angst all around, but I guess I was mistaken in saying at least two people. One person did post this gem though:

I'm not even sure if I want the Bruins to win anymore. They have sucked all the fun and enjoyment of watching playoff hockey. When Lucic scored last night my buddy and I didn't even react. I just cant get excited watching a team play with no heart. And even if they do win I don't want to watch them get smoked by Montreal. The Habs are a perfect example of how the Bruins should be playing. They are showing heart, desire and a will to win.

Well, at least they got the part about Montreal right. :D

Definitely...that was a crazy sequence to end the game. Montreal was very fortunate to get out of there.

Benny did have a nice game, but it's tough to have a successful team when he and AK46 show up once every 4 games, on average. The Canadiens' margin of error is so low, because their offense is so bad.

That sounds like the Rangers the last three seasons. If the oppositition scores three goals it was pretty much an automatic win. The offense has been a little bit better this year but we still have plenty of 3-2 and 2-1 games where we're counting on Hank standing on his head to keep us in it.

Ha, I don't know why he thought that Montreal team would smoke the Bruins...

Any bad thing that happens to any Minnesota hockey team is probably justified by Happy's last 9,000 posts about Tubes.
