These *****clowns better hope the cops get them before some hockey players do!

A heartbreaking crime was committed against the family of Pat Burns within hours of his funeral.

After the hockey world gathered Monday to mourn the death of the former coach, someone smashed into his widow's car.

Montreal police say someone broke into the car belonging to Line Burns and stole a number of her valuable possessions — including jewelry and 30 autographed hockey jerseys.

Police suspect the thieves knew the Burns family.

Which ones are their thirds? The royal blue with "Buffalo" in cursive script?

Yes. The old thirds are now the new home jersey and the reverse of that in white is the new road jersey.

They have finally dropped the horrid Buffaslug.

I keep waiting for the Wild to reverse their home jerseys for the road. It would be much MUCH better than the current whites.

Advice needed.

Going to a B's game before break, probably this coming Thursday against the Lightning.

Looking eBay for tickets, I can get some solid balcony seats for ~$15-$20 each on the B's end. Or, I can get Loge seats behind the net, B's only shoot once, for ~$26 each. I've only sat in Loge seats that were near Center Ice, never behind the net. They're a ways up, so seeing to the other end shouldn't be too bad...

It's not quite a pet peeve, but I do notice details like this too. Small details can be overlooked (ie: the guy never wore a third jersey but was on the team the whole year when they did), but wearing an old school player on a new RBK is awful.

Agreed.

And even though current teams are doing the throwback, something just bothers me about seeing fans wearing a current player's name on an old school jersey. I don't know why (this is more prevalent in football, but still).

3rd Bruins game of the year tonight, $14.50 each for the tickets. Hard to pass that up...same guy I bought from last time on eBay, probably the same for the future as well. Buy It Now, below face value, if he can't sell the tickets by game day he slashes the price even more.

B's are 2-0 with 2 shutouts when I'm there this year.

NHL.com is running a video from NHL Live about how the Thrashers could make a serious run at the Stanley Cup this year.

That sound you hear? Every Toronto and Winnipeg sportswriter finishing up an article about how hockey doesn't deserve to be in areas South of the 38th Parallel.

Also, NMU Alumnus Mike Santorelli (Florida Panthers) has now surpassed Illa Kovalchuk in goals and points on the season. The Panthers (as a team) have scored more Power Play goals (seven) than Illa has scored any goal (four). :D

Can you imagine the collective aneurysm those writers would have if Atlanta actually did win the Cup?

Wouldn't the fact that they're not very good get in the way?

As long as people continue to not give a sh it about the Thrashers, those articles will contine to be written, regardless of whatever modicum of success they're having at the moment.

I mean give me a break. They've never even won a playoff game, and they're a couple games over .500 on December 2nd? Wheee, plan the parade down Peachtree.

With how well they're doing, this IS worth throwing a parade over. :p :D

Are the Thrashers a juggernaut like the Wings/Hawks/etc? No. But they certainly look to finally be on the right path.

well they took a huge step in the right direction by ditching kovalchump.

atlanta looked good against boston. Kane is a monster and Pavelc looked solid between the pipes.

Neither the Islanders, nor the Rangers, have elected to stop the puck tonight.

Add the Laffs to that list. Smoked 5-0 by the Oilers at the ACC.

Not only is it time to fire Wilson, but tonight's putrid effort shows it's also time to tie the can to his PC buddy.
