2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

I have tickets, I will be watching...and no offense but I could care less what you think anyways. I was just backing up what Scooby said. For all I care you can think you are a better fan than me, I will always know you are wrong :D ;)

Looks like Sunday is the last game at the Dome...for the third time ;) Maybe my new jersey will bring us luck! :)

I don't think you could. But maybe...

Could you guys clean the sand out of your vaginas? You're killing the positive mood we had just 3 nights ago. We lost tonight because of a baserunning mistake, a closer who can't close, and a blown call by the umpires. You guys REALLY think it's out of the realm of possibility that the Twins win both games at the HumptyDome and then steal game 5?

Forget the baserunning mistake. That's just a minor footnote on the game at this point. For all we know, had the Twins scored then, the Yankees would have come right back the next inning. The most surprising thing was that they didn't rally off of Guerrier in the 8th. But eventually, Nathan would have been on that mound with the pressure of expectations, and I'm not convinced that he'd have been able to get 3 outs before giving up enough runs to tie the game, whether the score was 4-1 or 3-1.

I feel bad for those who have to watch on tv Sunday - you have to listen to the TBS crew, again.

Screw this ****. I need more whiskey. There might not be enough in minneapolis. Glad I have the blackberry. Need a round, daiquiris! Crab cakes and football, that's what maryland does!

The Twins are 0-9 this year against the Yanks so pardon us if we think the chances of them winning 3 in a row might be a little far fetched. Just because I want the team to win and am excited to go to another playoff game doesnt mean I am going to ignore the big gaping holes or the elephants in the room :)

The team left 17 men on base - that's off the charts offensive inefficiency. If the yanks produced the same number of baserunners, they'd have won the game 8-3.

The same exact thing happened between the Cardinals and Dodgers...but no one capitalized. They are supposedly "better teams" than the Twins. It happens. We could win on Sunday 12-1.
