2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Yeah, cuz that's what I said.

I don't know how to take it any other way. Someone comes in and says he hopes I don't even watch the next game and he will be cheering just the same?

Kudos. You're better than I am.

Whatever. The series is lost, right? So don't watch. It's not a morality play so stop playing the martyr.

Yes, you're better than I am. Not sure how that makes me a martyr though, but you would know.

All I said was if the series is over then don't watch. If that hits too close to home don't cry to me about it. Last comment on the subject so get your last snarky remark in there, Scooby becuase I know you got it in you.

Sorry dude but it did sound that way. You may not have meant it that way but that is how it came off.

I don't buy it. I was clearly as mad as anyone at the game, but when people say, "it's over" don't cry if someone says, "then don't watch". It has nothing do with being better than anyone else it's merely a matter of fact reaction.

It's crying to highlight your superiority complex? Ok, you would know.

And he is currently double fisting with a bottle of whiskey (evan williams) in one hand and a bottle of sour mix in the other.
After listening to the TBS play-by-play this week, I've heard enough about "fisting".

If Punto had been up we'd have gotten a run. Why is he batting ninth again?
Because when he'd bat 2nd he'd suck pretty bad; when he batted 9th, he was okay. So he bats 9th. Had Harris been batting 7th like he did Wednesday, his fly ball would have got a run in (except of course if that run was Mauer, who apparently was unable to run by the 11th.) If, if, if -- they weren't ever going to win that game. NYY was going to score as many runs as they needed at some point. The seeds of this game were planted about 6 years ago when the Twins blew a lead in extras in Game #2 after winning Game #1. All that changes is the inning and the final score.

You dont buy it? Arent you the one that always says "its my opinion so it cant be wrong" or something similar...in our opinion your comment seemed self righteous and smacked of "I am better than you" I understand you didnt mean it that way but at the time that is how it came off.

And BTW just because some of us might think the series is over doesn't mean we wont watch or that we shouldn't watch.

Always? That was one sarcastice remark and apparently tongue-in-cheek and winks are lost on you. :) Like I said, if you don't want to watch then don't - it's not a judgement. "That's all I got to say about that" - Forrest Gump

Does anyone else think Joe Nathan is finished?
I think he's struggled with location over the last few months. Maybe that's something mechanical that can be fixed.

But his biggest problem is one many of the Twins have when playing teams like the Yankees, Angels, and Red Sox. If you're hanging your head like a whipped dog worried that you might lose, then you probably will. Nathan has to get P.O.'d and just decide he's going to let fly and see how it ends up. Get a little mean and let somebody worry about us for a change.

I have tickets, I will be watching...and no offense but I could care less what you think anyways. I was just backing up what Scooby said. For all I care you can think you are a better fan than me, I will always know you are wrong :D ;)

Looks like Sunday is the last game at the Dome...for the third time ;) Maybe my new jersey will bring us luck! :)
