2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

I'll still be cheering for them at the Hump so hope the rest of you don't watch. And yeah, I'm just as pizzed off as the rest of you.

I'm going too. On the upside, they'll score 59 runs. Then lost 1-0 on Tuesday.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

I would not want to be around Gardy when he sees that video....

Why there is no guarantee Mauer scores...hell he couldnt score one Cuddy's hit no way he does on Kubel's he just wasnt moving well. (not to mention who knows what happens if he gets a double they will probably pitch to Kubel and Cuddy different)

Sid and Gardy and the fans can come up with all the excuses they want to, there is no one to blame but themselves. Nathan chokes again against the Yanks and the team ****es down their leg all game with runners on base culminating in blowing bases loaded with no outs.

We MIGHT win a game...I wont bet on it anymore because that was pathetic :(

I will be at the game at the Dome...it isnt about cheering for them it is about whether they have a realistic shot which right now they dont.

Well, they only left 17 men on base in that game.

The blown call on Mauer's flyball cost them a run as well if the rest of the inning plays out the same way. Not that it matters a hell of a lot - the Yanks probably would've simply scored 2 runs in the bottom half to win it.

Don't send Nathan out to face the Yanks in a save situation ever again. He simply cannot pitch to them worth a ****.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Delmon has at least been hitting lately, but why was Gomez batting with the bases loaded and the season on the line?.
Who did we have to send up there? Redmond -- an obvious DP candidate. Casilla -- not really a better option, it just messes up the D. Morales -- he's looked overmatched lately. The only move he could have made would be to pinch run Casilla for Mauer. Gardy probably didn't realize that Mauer had bonked at some point in the game. He's caught every game down the stretch. Maybe the off-days this week weren't enough to make up for that.

So, you're better than me. Got it. Thanks for the clarification.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

We would have been better off letting Casilla come in and bunt...whats friggin sad is I am not wrong

True.

I'm just sad that I got giddy about beating the Yankees in New York and making them sweat. Should of known better.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Why is Nathan so unreliable now? Why can't Gomez run the bases with any IQ?

The blown call on mauer hurts, but leaving 17 men on base hurts more.
