2009 MN Twins Part 3 - It's still not over...statistically

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 3 - It's still not over...statistically

I found out from a friend in the ticket office that they were letting people buy upwards of 19 tickets to the game...gee what a wonderful idea that was. Further proof sports franchises could give two craps about the average fan. I wonder why someone would buy 19 tickets to a game?

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 3 - It's still not over...statistically

Do you realize that even fellow fans of your teams hate you? There is a reason for that.

The Twins don't need luck, just a decent outing from Baker and the division is wrapped up.

FYP

Delusional at best, but most likely severely mentally handicapped. Really it is a small miracle that someone with his handicap has been able to learn how to use a computer.

:D :D :D :D
**** the Red Wings.

You sure are a classy guy, aren't you sparky?

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 3 - It's still not over...statistically

Hate is a strong word. BB seems to be an okay guy. Misguided, but okay. I wouldn't let him touch my $ in Vegas.

And every team needs luck, like a visiting team's rookie (defensive replacement?) misplaying a flyball in the pillowdome that basically ruined a good outing and cost a game. Don't ask why that kid was playing at a critical moment.... or how Span got into RF as a replacement for Kubel and caught a GW hit in the bottom of the 9th last week, a game the Twins win in extra innings...which is two of the hundred reasons this season why Gardenhire > Leyland. Luck is created out of preparation and hard work...plus a crappy home field roof. ;)
Yeah, I see what you're saying and it makes sense. BTW, the Span/Kubel/Gomez substitution thing has been a pretty regular thing this season. Gomez is great defensively, and Gardy will ususally put him in center towards the end of the game, and move Span to right or left. Before Morneau got hurt, usually Young was replaced, now that Kubel is the everday outfielder, he gets replaced.

I get along with most people around here, I don't know what your problem is.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 3 - It's still not over...statistically

and how overinflated are they?

It depends...I havent checked since this morning but 125 was the going rate for upper deck...think about that for a second!

What did I do to you? Just because I think the Lions are going to win 8 games? I have a negative 850 million on my rep because I express my opinion. I certainly don't think I deserve to be called a mental midget or to have people leave death threats on my rep. Most of you take this message board waaaaay to seriously.

I am...and I'm wondering if my buddy could get me into the suite...for free...:)

You care about reps?

Who was Cabrera drinking champagne with Saturday morning? Tyler Hirsch or Jeff Dubay in Detoilet this weekend?

Tigers are itty-bitty kitties lost in the Cities. Twins fly to NY tomorrow night.

Daunte Culpepper, we all know how he likes to roll.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 3 - It's still not over...statistically

Anybody else thinking of pulling a double-header tomorrow: Twins then Wild? I already have Wild tickets, and I have a Twins ticket waiting for me if I want it. I'd love to go for it--if all goes well, one would only miss the first period at most.

On the other hand, the bar full of Wild, Twins fans downtown St. Paul starting about 3:50 PM should be pretty sweet, too.

Decisions :D ;) :)

Ultimately one which will be made by the wife--and I know how that will go since she can't leave work early like I can :-)

No lose situation!

No, but I think it's a tad overboard with the insults some people are slinging.

I heard he was drinking with Ozzie. LOL

Why are the Twins flying to New York tomorrow? Do you really think they want to see the Tigers and Yankees play?:D

I get death threats via rep on a daily basis. I think you might be the one taking things too seriously.

Somebody didn't notice that the Twins had a steady diet of cupcakes (with the exception of 7 games with the Rangers) after finishing a series with the Angels at the beginning of August. Regression to the mean.

They place essentially the same schedule for the season and neither team did much against the ALE and ALW.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 3 - It's still not over...statistically

For the record, the last I saw for odds on tomorrow's game:

MN -170
Det +150
o/u 8.5

MN -1.5 (+125)
Det +1.5 (-145)

FWIW. ;)

I may have taken the -170/over

His BAA was .26 and Cabrera is kindly listed as being 240 pounds (which we figure is a lie). That guy must've drank a bar dry to be that hammered. Even bigblue_dl would step back and say, "Daamn!"
