I asked @BigTenNetwork about this today on Twitter. Their response was.
"We try to do hockey justice with the basics (standings, rankings, scores) but don't have much more to offer at this time"

Yep, they sure want to broadcast hockey.

Ouch. Sounds like you guys are having some internal issues as well.

Looking forward to both games this weekend it should be some good hockey and I can only hope the Gophers stop putting the puck in there own net.

I hear Wisconsin wants out of the showcase, so next year will be the last year. Something to do with them wanting a Big Ten league, and Minnesota wanting nothing to do with it?

On August 11, 2009 Whitesnake was playing a show at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado when front man David Coverdale suffered a vocal injury. After seeing a specialist, it was announced on August 12, 2009 that Coverdale is suffering from severe vocal fold edema and a left vocal fold vascular lesion. The remainder of their tour with Judas Priest has been canceled.

Hopefully we can get refunds on our concert tickets.

The whole Whitesnake thing is going to hell in a handbasket. First it's David Coverversion's voice issues, and ... well then there's the Tawny Kitaen affair.

QUESTION #3: Could you tell us the future of this, I know you’ve spoken about this a little bit, but the future of the College Hockey Showcase and where it stands right now, Mike?
EAVES: Well, I think some changes are in the future. I think that, we’ve talked about this before, the evolution of the Big Ten Network has put things in a different perspective, and we’re looking out to different scenarios that might become part of that. The next revenue sport, once basketball and football are up and running, is hockey. And they need some airtime that could be filled by hockey, and so I think we’re taking a look at different scenarios. But I think there’s a metamorphosis that’s going on right now as to what it is or what it will become, it’s tough to say.

QUESTION #4: And yet neither one of the games this weekend are on the Big Ten Network.

EAVES: Well, that is out of my control.

Depends on how angry they are about their fortunes of late. But, I don't expect anything anymore. There have been plenty of times this season where they should have been angry and driven, and it just didn't happen. Not for 60 minutes, anyway.

In recent years the gophers don't seem to get mad, they just get more and more frustrated and it goes back to leadership. If i was the michigan teams i wouldn't treat them like a Bowling Green or W Mich or you could lose just because they are talented and kangas can steal games, he didn't against wisconsin. But your also not playing Miami either...

I responded by saying surely this weekend's games would draw better numbers than the crap women's basketball. They wisely decided not to respond to that one.

That network is a joke, it has sense it started, what sucks is we are fans of a school that thinks it is the second coming or christ to college athletics, what they don't realize is know one outside the Big Ten area even knows there is a Big Ten network or even cares.

I like how Eaves totes the UW line about the Big Ten Network, if eaves came out and straight bashed the network for not covering this weekend Barry Alvarez would be down his throat, specially with the CRHC being covered by the BTN, even tho eaves thinks the network is a joke too.
