2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Poor play for this team continues... This time at home--where they can't afford it... (And I'm pretty sure where I need to stop spending my money on them.)

A "good" flurry at the end, but a 3-2 home loss to a Phoenix team that really didn't show too much [to me] tonight, either, is just terrible.

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Meh. I'll keep spending money on them here and there. No one should have expected them to be very good this year. I am just increasingly annoyed at how useless Havlat is. I don't think you can call it just a "slow start" anymore. Combine that with looking at who is leading the league in goals makes me want to slam my head into a wall.

Ah well, I suppose. Just doing my best to stay patient.

Don't get me wrong, I'm willing to stay very patient. The 2010 draft should have really been awarded to Minnesota instead of Los Angeles because I'm already THAT excited about it ;)

My statement was a little too black-and-white. I'm just saying that I'm very "free-wheeling" with my money. Regardless if they win or lose, I should dial it back a bit :o

And dialed back a little bit more if they are losing because let's face it--the answer to 99 out of 100 questions = $$$ (seriously, what is that 100th question:confused: ). Less $$$ for losses = try harder to get more of my $$$ for wins :D

In other words: put the "answer" out on the ice. Probably not this year, but please, show me something to look forward to. All I'm asking for is effort--which to be fair, we have seen flashes thereto.

Owen Nolan and Andrew Brunette continue to prove to be great assets to deal come trade deadline. If Mittens plays more like he did tonight he might be a good barganing chip, too.

Show me a product that will win the cup by 2014 and we have a deal :)

Talent or not, it is annoying that this team seems to not play like it cares unless it is behind, and both times they tied it up last night I had the sick feeling they'd give the lead back again.

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

What's disappointing is spending all that money on Havlat and having him be totally non-existent. What is it about Minnesota hockey teams and scoring goals? Why do Minnesota teams turn goal scorers into players that can't find a hockey net even with a GPS tracker?

Burns is another one. Where is he? Who is he?

Havlat and Burnsie out of the lineup tonight, and... THE WILD WIN!

Owen Nolan again proves to be the 37 year old stud that he is

I want to believe that Fletcher is sending a series of the same message to players.

"You are replaceable"

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

And Burns is now out indefinitely with a concussion.
That #1 pick is looking more and more realistic...
