Ooooh, mediocre for one season because of injuries, and yet still within striking distance of the playoffs. I'm really sweating the possibility that they won't make the dance for a 19th straight year.

He's Q eligible for one more year, but even without this incident, the likliehood of his playing in the Q next season was pretty much nil. Under normal circumstances, drafted 20 year olds who are decent candidates for the NHL don't play an overage season.
That's why a suspension for this year's playoffs and would be satisfactory....it would very probably mean he's done in the QMJHL.
