Re: 2009-2010 NHL Season Part 3: After The Gold Rush

Oh and during the fight Cooke kept backing up and when Thornton offered to mutually remove their helmets Matt Cooke wanted to hold onto his girly visor.

But let's keep praising Cooke for his manliness. :D

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Season Part 3: After The Gold Rush

Instigating with a visor is a penalty, not agreeing to a fight with a visor. I think Douglas Murray is the only guy i've ever seen take off his helmet when he had a visor for a fight.
Kesler did it earlier this year in a fight with Andrew Ladd. Both removed their lids before the battle.

Looked like Thornton motioned for Cooke to do it before the scrap tonight, Cooke declined, Thornton did it for him.

FSN Pittsburgh's broadcast is one level above a high school av club. They're bumpkins. Complete morons.

These are the clowns that didn't send all the angles on a disputed goal to the NHL and got one of their technical people canned. This is surprising to you?

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Season Part 3: After The Gold Rush

Bruins now demonstrating how NOT to kill a penalty.

If you stopped defending him, I'd stop attacking your stupid homer arguments trying to defend him.

I'm not praising the guy for failing to be a coward. He usually is. He knew his teammates would have killed him for not fighting since they knew one of them would be challenged next.

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Season Part 3: After The Gold Rush

That has to be the worst 7 minutes of hockey I've seen since the Skating Deerticks opened an NCAA game against the Big Red by scoring on themselves. Twice.

Is it my turn to make fun of mookie? Yay!

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Season Part 3: After The Gold Rush

I think the best part of it was them "finding" it a few minutes later and the on-air guys joking about "boy, it's a good thing we didn't find that in time."

Everyone involved in the production of NHL games at FSN-Pittsburgh needs to be fired. Every single one.

Ya know, for such a big, strong guy....Milan Lucic really let gravity effect him there! :)
