Nice missed call on Perry/embellishment by Sopel leading to the GWG

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Season Part 3: After The Gold Rush

THanks for posting the video Steve, I had not seen that. Robert L's piece (Eyes on the Prize) is brilliant.

Canada's passion for hockey run amok!

Ironic isn't it that a different Campbell was at the center of that controversy! ;)

More reasons to avoid the KHL: fans attacking players!

I think I saw Milbury climbing into the stands!

I know there's a couple Chicago fans/followers on here....so....

Why on earth is Corey Crawford in net tonight?
The mafia locked Huet in a weighted trunk and sent him to the bottom of Lake Michigan. ;)

Not a fan or follower, just stuck in NHL HELL, err Blackhawks territory.

Huet was sick with the "flu" again. For the third time this season. I'm thinking it was Avian Flu from the Boo birds at the United Center...

I don't know why Niemi didn't get the start, Quenneville is trying to find ways to tank before the playoffs. A couple 'Hawks fans that are also White Sox fans are comparing them to the 2005 Sox struggle through September to end the season.

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Season Part 3: After The Gold Rush

I can't wait to watch the extremely boring hockey game tonight where the Bruins will fail to exact any retribution whatsoever.

Someone, on Savard's behalf, should simply drop the gloves and challenge Cooke to a straight up fight. Just be done with it. No need to drag this on, no need for a dirty game, and certainly no need to go after Crosby as a lot of idiots in the Boston media suggest.

Granted Cooke will probably just turtle like a pu$$y since his MO is cheep shots instead of being a man, but that's his problem.

The brawl that would be sparked by the Bruins intentionally going after Crosby would be quite entertaining. Unfortunately the entire Bruin team would probably be suspended for going after the NHL's poster boy.

Cooke would never fight he would find someone big to hide behind and stay there. He is worse than Krissy Kunitz and her hair pulling :p

Yeah, just ask Steve Downie!

So, they'd miss the playoffs, get 2 top 5 draft picks.. win, win baby! ;)

Seriously though, anything that does happen tonight (or doesn't, because its the Boo-ins) is Campbell's fault, and it's nifty that he'll be there to see it.

I don't care if they do or don't go after Crosby. I don't think they will, but have no problem with it if they do. I say do the same exact thing to Cros that Cooke did to Savard, see how its treated. Its obviously not illegal/penalty/suspension, so whats wrong with it?

The Bruins should just start bringing all their goons out of retirement: Greene, Jonathan, O'Reilly, Stock, Nilan, etc...

What I really want is a giant brawl that ends with Cooke lying in a pool of his own blood at center ice and Mike Milbury beating a man with a shoe.
But I'll settle for win, which might be even more outlandish the way this season is going

Fact: PJ Stock had 432 penalty minutes in 67 games (over 6 PIM/G) in his last year of major junior, and then had 79 PIM in 12 games in the playoffs after that season.

I mean... ****.

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Season Part 3: After The Gold Rush

Wisniewski is suspended 8 games for his hit on Seabrooke.

FWIW, I think this is the first time in several months the NHL has gotten a suspension right.

Seabrook should have been suspended as well for his hit just prior to that, IMHO.

just saw the video on youtube
<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dtSx2z_CPKQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dtSx2z_CPKQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

They were both dangerous head contact checks

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Season Part 3: After The Gold Rush

What Seabrook seemed to look worse because of the angle and the guy losing his balance. A penalty sure, but a suspension?

Nothing compared to the Wiz, what a scumbag.
