I don't see head contact on the first one... I do see him leading with the hands and the guy's entire momentum in the other direction... so, what? at worst boarding?

on the wisnewski one... multiple strides, leaves his feet... shot to the head. It wasn't nearly as spectacular when Downie tried to murder McAmmond (sp?) (how the hell was that only 20 games for such a sociopathic move) but the intent was there all the way.

Matt Cooke has already fought and lost to Thornton. I think Thornton got a 10 minute misconduct for fighting him after being warned not to.

he was swinging at cooke after knocking him down with two decent blows. that got him the extra time.

When did that become a misconduct? I think it was because he kept trying to hit him through the linesman.

Pens getting away with holding/interference all over the ice.

They get a break out because of it, and score. Nice goal by Kennedy.

yeah... once a guy gets knocked down the linesmen step in.:p

give cooke credit. he stood in and hit thornton a couple times (while taking at least 5 to the head. didn't turtle

A couple of times? He also wore his visor when agreeing to fight, I thought that was a penalty too.

And for the first time in his career he didn't turtle. Congrats mookie. :rolleyes:

Instigating with a visor is a penalty, not agreeing to a fight with a visor. I think Douglas Murray is the only guy i've ever seen take off his helmet when he had a visor for a fight.

That makes sense. That's what I thought the rule was. And it doesn't surprise me Douglas Murray took off his helmet. Guy has cajones. Unlike that biatch Matt Cooke.
