The 2004 New York Yankees are still the King of Fail :p

That was an Emperor of Fail event. I think there's a hierarchy for it, like the levels of soul-crushing losses.

Probably the happiest/most proud I have been of a Habs team since '93 (yes I'm that old).

Halak had 93 saves on 95 shots the final 2 games.

That goal by Moore was so epic. Well worth the 2nd roundwr. Good job, Pieree. :D

Back to back seventh games won by road teams. And in the East....#1 Washington....#2 Buffalo....and #3 New Jersey all lose. Who'd have thunk it.

Caps Post-game is going to be epic. This is a good night to live in DC.

Ditto...the 2-0 win at Boston in 2004 was great. But this is just a monumental win...definitely the biggest series win since that great 93 run.

I want to hear a post series quote from Jose "Plekanec Aint No Jagr" TheOpenDoor.....who spent the most meaningful portion of the series with his a/s/s welded to the bench.:p

You know... I'll be the first to admit that I was chagrined by the moves that Gainey made....but I've really grown to love this team. Such a different effort than the teams from the last two years.

Also - that was probably the best officiated game of the series. Well done.

So shocked.

do you really expect an entire group of wagon-riders to riot?

Though, I was tempted to grab my Bruins jersey go down to the metro station and stand with a smug smile

As a lifelong Leafs fan, I can't believe I'm saying this -- but way to go Habs!! :D

well, i have confidence that if the boys did have to play the caps... the caps would find some way to lose.
