4-0, Ovechkin bomb.

Jean Bellaveau will be playing net for the Habs in the 3rd.

It wasn't from the side, it was head on...but, yeah, shoulder to head.

I doubt there's a suspension, and Ellis needs to keep his head up.

i went back to check the tivo....

the sabre skated straight up the ice.. the bruin skate straight across, two feet inside the blue line. certainly not head on.

from.the.side.

(and cooke came from behind)

I'm hoping for Andre Racicot at this point.

I think I saw someone throw a trident. I mean, man...that got up there.

Getting a little ugly here....Gionta sent off for cross checking; fans seem ready to pounce.

High expectations + blowout loss = Riot.

Compromise. It was a 45-degree angle. :p

Pleks gets two minutes for interference and two more for unsportsmanlike. This is a powder keg waiting to blow. 2 PPG and I fear trash on the ice.

How exactly did Gomez get a 10 min. misconduct? Too much yakking with the ref?

it was a good hit. keep you head up.

though i have already been on record as favoring an outlaw of hits to the head. and i take offense at the roaring crowd and jack *** edwards getting all excited when it's not their player getting laid out and crying like sissy babies when it's savard.

;)

Fred Cusick isn't calling the Bruins any more?

Actually, I missed that - but Montreal's been doing a lot of yapping the last 7-8 minutes. They should be yapping at each other. I think they're tired of the crease stuff...but note to to the Habs...this is the playoffs. You need to expect that, and do the same.

When guys like Gomez, Gionta, and Plekanec are the ones having to step up and "defend" your team...well...that's a problem.

Not really sure where all this hate is coming from. Boychuk was given a forearm to the jaw in Game 1. His hit tonight was clean. Let's move on.

What about his "hit" on Vanek? First a hook, then a slash that sends him into the boards and out for the rest of the game and tonight (at least). Definitely a class act there.

Oh yeah? The slash on Vanek's right leg that hurt his left?

btw, clean hit:

The slash took out his legs and sent him sprawling into the boards. It doesn't matter which leg was hit when you go flying into the wall that quickly.
