The slash isn't what directly caused Vanek's injury.
Right, it was the crashing into the boards with a 225-lb d-man on his back. Gee, what could have caused that??

I would like to propose that the Sabres forfeit all powerplay opportunities for the rest of the series.

That's why I said "directly" ;)

I thought that's what they were doing already...

I would be surprised if the Bos/Buf series doesn't go 7. Great tempo from what I thought would have been a relatively unexciting matchup.

Good coaching - Boudreau takes a timeout to lay into the Caps a bit...perhaps reminding them that the game is not over yet (even though it is).

Habs to the PP....

I would be shocked as well. I hope Buffalo wins in 5 though. :D

Yup. From what I can tell, the Caps don't like it when they have to play defense.

Compared to most of Boston's goals against Ryan Miller, that was a work of art.

My heart wasn't meant to watch playoff hockey.

Man the officiating has been decidedly in Buffalo's favor all series long. What exactly did Ference do to deserve a game misconduct?

Great legal check there by Mark Recchi to get space and find Bergeron for the snipe. Nice goal for the B's.

Ut oh Buffalo...

It wasn't a game misconduct, TBA...it was a 10 minute misconduct.
