This is a good point that I recently read some discussion on.

When McCarthy ran last January, there was lots to negotiate over. Committee chairs and memberships. Legislative priorities. Office assignments. Rules committee/rules.

Now, all that is set. Sure, there's theoretically a new set of legislative priorities but even the derps know that most of their nonsense wouldn't get passed the Senate.



So, what does Gym have to offer? That he'll call off the death threats?
 
So the GQP are going all over the media and blaming Democrats for removing McCarthy and for not getting behind Jordan. It's really incredible to watch them lie so nakedly. I know their sycophants lap that up but.. Jesus.

Who put in the rule that only one member needed to motion to vacate to force a floor vote? Who, then, exercised that rule to force a floor vote, for the crime of *checks notes* not closing down the government? Who lied to the Democratic conference over and over and over (while telling them he was actually lying to his own conference)? Who voted against certifying the 2020 election? Who has had their soldiers harassing family members of holdout Republicans? Who is nominating an insurrectionist who's leading the ludicrous "weaponization of the DOJ committee"? Who is trying to impeach the Democratic president on literally nothing?

But they are the problem, not the morons who can't even get their own conference in order.
 
There’s apparently going to be a third vote tomorrow and some GQP members are openly saying Gym’s vote total will go down.

No debt deal, tying Ukraine spending with Israel spending and more Biden investigations. Problem is that won't be enough because everyone will offer that.
