118th Congress - Neutered Dog Attempts to Legislate

I can understand that all anyone thinks Congress did for four years is pass one tax bill because that's all the media mention. Of course, Congress did more than that, but whatever. I would argue the Democrats still don't understand that judges matter. Or they do and just don't care.
I was under the impression that President Biden has placed more judges on the bench than any other president in a long while.

Weird that the GOP was able to pass most of its agenda even without that magic 60 votes in the senate.

I’ve said it more than once, but I’ll say it again: the GOP only cares about passing stuff that can be passed under reconciliation rules, like tax cuts. What else did they pass that was significant in their trifecta time?

What’s funny about Biden and the most judges argument is I remember quite a few liberal posters on here arguing Biden was slow as f-ck to pass judges, when in reality, he’s always been one of the fastest. Glad it’s being recognized now.

They don’t care? Obama didn’t care. Biden cares.

The Dems care now. They're 20 years late, but they care.

For fifty years, Dems believed what we were taught in school: the truth will surface and the merits will win in a democracy. Dems under 50 finally realize what every effective legislator, good or evil, has known for 2500 years: it's not magic, it's a knife fight.

Who gave you that impression?

Since 2021, the Senate has confirmed 114 of Biden's judicial picks, as Senate Democrats look to surpass the 234 justices and judges confirmed during former Republican President Donald Trump's four years in office.

Oh you and your facts!

Yep. Facts.

Because he did set the record for most first year appointments since Kennedy and was nearly tied with Bush, so you’d have to go back to Clinton to find a better first two years?

It’ll probably slow in the next two years, but yeah, the facts are there.

House Republicans are working on the 2024 budget and they publicly, and proudly, have said "F*ck you Veterans!"
they propose massive cuts to the VA or they'll destroy the economy.

The GOP loves war, but hates retired veterans.

GOP: More flag draped coffins, less post career care.

Why not? Those fuckers didn’t even have the decency to die for their country.
