It's insane that they're putting one person's fee fees ahead of 330 million people's rights. Every single D senator should feel shame for this.

What about the rights of the California voters (I assume mostly D's) who voted to put her in office? In fact, if I'm not mistaken, this isn't even a situation where the voters had to vote for Feinstein just to keep an R out of office. I think her race was against another D.

Rights schmights. There is no right to have your representatives in congress free from pressure to do a thing. Your party based their entire platform around that entire concept!
 
Oh my god.. there are 13 charges against Santos.

BREAKING: George Santos is in custody in the federal courthouse. He was charged with seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering, one count of theft of public funds, and two counts of making materially false statements to the House of Representatives.

His district was ... redistricted from solid blue to purple and the previous office holder gave up the seat in a pathetic losing attempt to run for NYS governor, and Robert Zimmerman ran a pretty terrible campaign.


To me, this is the worst example of - but far from the only example - how unbelievably stupid the NYS democratic party was and is. Completely disconnected from the residents and reality. Ineffectual and incompetent. If they hadn't screwed up their own redistricting so badly, and then went on to lose winnable seats like this, the Democrats may have held the House. Not even kidding.

The NY state Democratic party is incredibly corrupt, up state and down. It explains a lot. This is a private club where the fix has been in for fifty years. It has nothing to do with the good of the state or its people. The sad thing, too, is the rewards are so rinky dink. It's like Long Island mafiosa who do it all for gold leaf furniture and their mistress' off-center boob job.

NY, NJ, CT, and RI state politics needs an enema.
 
One of the counts in the indictment actually is pretty funny. He's been indicted for lying to the House on some disclosure forms. He told them in 2021 he made something like $750,000, and the indictment is like, "ah yeah no, dude, you made like $28,000."
