Choosing Trump over Cheney is the final nail in the coffin of the Reagan Era Republicans. Going full Qucumber is not a good long term strategy. This is what happens when you never learn from your mistakes you just compound them more. By the time the Primaries come around Trump or his hand picked candidate will already have the nomination locked.

Under the current map in Michigan, the Dems won the popular vote in ‘12, ‘14, ‘18 and ‘20, but the closest they’ve been able to get is a 58-52 deficit.

I am assuming those places will eventually fall. Court rulings throwing out the more obscenely unconstitutional cheating. It will take time, of course, but there is a path anyway.
