Ted Cruz is just awful all the time. He’s awful making coffee, he’s awful holding the tv remote, he’s awful walking down the hall, he’s awful opening the garage, he’s awful getting the mail, he’s awful making a u-turn, he’s awful pouring milk, he’s awful wearing sunglasses, etc.

This could be the next Dr. Suess book.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said Tuesday he's "lost confidence" in Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) during a moment of candor caught on a hot mic, a tape reviewed by Axios shows.

What he's saying: "I think she's got real problems," McCarthy told Steve Doocy off-air ahead of a live "Fox and Friends" interview. "I've had it with ... I've had it with her. You know, I've lost confidence. ... Well, someone just has to bring a motion, but I assume that will probably take place."

Never thought I'd see the day where I thought Liz Cheney was sane. The GOP moves the bar further and further to the right and everyone pretends that Biden's a socialist. I got bad news for everyone. Biden is center right. He's not center left. Nixon was leftier than Biden.

This is the craziest thing I have ever read.

I mean.

What?

You know the saying that when you’re accustomed to privilege, any move towards equality feels like oppression? There's a corollary - if your politics move far enough to the right, everyone else looks like a Marxist.

It works for moving too far left as well (go full tankie and everyone else looks like Pinochet), but there aren't any extreme left movements really gaining ground at the moment.

"Tankie" is a great term that should be revived.

Though as you say right now it's a signifier without any instance of the signified.

The best example of your effect in politics is the top marginal rate. The Right is arguing that moving it to 39% is Communism. When Reagan took office it was 50%, and when Eisenhower was in office it was above 90%.

Hey, Joe Manchin. Open your ears.

Mitch McConnell admitted yesterday that "100 percent" of his focus is on blocking Democrats, not getting important work done.

In the process, he effectively invited Democrats to leave Republicans behind.

Lindsey Graham: Can we move forward without President Trump? The answer is no. I’ve always liked Liz Cheney but she’s made a determination that the Republican Party can’t grow with President Trump. I’ve determined we can’t grow without him.

You tell em, Lindsey. Get that woman out of leadership. The Fuhrer commands it.

Cat fights are the worst.

I wonder whether Romney and Cheney could make a bigger impact now by just leaving the party. Go "I." Their families own their respective states. Flake might have been able to pull it off too (his family founded eastern AZ).

So I guess he isn't "out" like he said after the Insurrection after all.

Choosing Trump over Cheney is the final nail in the coffin of the Reagan Era Republicans. Going full Qucumber is not a good long term strategy. This is what happens when you never learn from your mistakes you just compound them more. By the time the Primaries come around Trump or his hand picked candidate will already have the nomination locked.
