Lauren Boebert's town hall is happening now. Caller: “When you are tried for treason, which prison do you want to do your time in?” Boebert: "Next question." #copolitics

There just is no rational recourse because this whole thing is just so stupidly irrational.

I think that you may have just summed up the past [insert number here] years of the US political system in one sentence. Excellent job.

Weren't the Republicans and Hovey complaining about the Covid Relief Bill having things in it that aren't related to Covid Relief? Cause my understanding is ALL OF THE REPUBLICAN amendments that were proprosed, or going into the bill have NOTHING to do with Covid.

Hypocrisy thy name is Republican.

Good stuff--Onionish. Is that a site you visit regularly, Slap?

McSweeney’s has one of the most complete succinct records of Trump’s shi tiest moments - something like “Lest we forget the horrors” - which is good to browse through if your determination to free the United States ever wanes. There were hundreds of episodes that should have ended his career, if we were a sensible society.

McSweeney’s is a good site. Sometimes it gets a little too New Yorker, but other times it is a really biting parody of New Yorker.

What a ****ing sentence.

“I promise I don’t want to kill you anymore”

Sure Jan. Go **** yourself.

Her tweet this morning was interesting...talk about a spin job.

I other news apparently Trump is ticked at McCarthy because he didn't go after Cheney more. Kevin sold his soul and is getting his just desserts.

“Deserts” (duh-ZERTS). Same root as “deserve,” or if you’ve been around long enough, “[desevrings.” (I think)

Sounds like Lauren Boebert is going to go through some things.

She paid off $20k in debts before the election and now her campaign reimbursed her $22k in mileage.

Things that make you go huh

Hush money to her husband's victims?

Yeah I just don't think that is going to stick...it does point out how friggin stupid she is. Of course failing the GED backs that up ;^)

I get that some lifelong Republican voters have certain issues that will keep them supporting and voting R, especially for non-presidential candidates. But, at what point do they draw the line? Do they continue to vote R because they're anti-abortion, or believe Jesus was against welfare, or because they get to keep more money since they've been successful with the last administration's policies.

But I hope they understand how looking out for their own interests, they're continually showing how they don't give a fuck about other people even if they consider themselves good people.

Honestly the GOPers I know who left (of various ages) did so because they cannot stand the level of stupid the party has let in. Arrogance and intelligence seem to be highly motivating. Smart people don't want to be painted with the same brush as the Flat Earthers.

Mitt Romney has apparently come out against MTG...I would rather go back to the days when we didn't like him because he was out of touch with most of America. That GOP is much better than the we embrace the (((conspiracy))) version.
