Exactly. The only thing that happens if the Dems stay is the GOP leadership has to weaken itself. A single vote to vacate is fucking neutering whomever takes the gavel. The dem's most powerful spot is exactly right now. Anything deviation from the current status quo is a weakening of their position.

Schumer is one of the only democrats he could get away with caning if he tried. VIrtually every other Democrat would start throwing punches (or staplers).

I think that provision only holds if he wins which he just isn't going to. Actually I am not even sure that deal is still valid anymore.
I fly home from Mexico tomorrow...I figured by the time I made it he would give up the ghost but he and the Qrazies after playing a game of chicken and both are about to drive over the cliff. Ya hate to see it ;^)
