This is the right answer. You guys are making the mistake everyone made with Trump. You think because they are acting so ridiculous they must be planning something. They aren't. They are acting this way because they are absent any plan at all besides screwing over the other side of the party. The Taliban Caucus has labelled Kevin McCarthy the enemy and they would rather kill themselves than let him stand above them.
If you step back and look it is obvious. These people crave power and influence and they basically owe it all to Donald Trump. Yet Donald Trump supports McCarthy and is telling them to stand down. They are now openly defying Donald Trump while simultaneously still propping him up. The ultimate example, which is what caused me to see it is Gym Jordan. I thought Jordan was angling for the job by giving his speech about putting McCarthy in power and ending this game stupid game. We know he wants to start his suicidal Biden investigations so he was putting himself in a solid position and he had the Taliban's support. He had to have told them to take his name out of the running because now Donalds is the chaos candidate and there is no compromise candidate anyone can find. (when Steve Scalise is the best you can come up with you are not trying to find a way to make things work)
What you have is the Donald Trump Wing going against the Donald Trump candidate (and they might still nominate Trump himself for a job he doesn't want against the candidate he endorsed) with a Trump sycophant and a compromise candidate who is also likely a Trumpophile. These idiots have no idea what they are doing.
Meanwhile the Democrats win. I am sure the media is waiting for this all to end so they can tell us how whoever got the job is an inspiring choice and bad news for The Dems but in truth this cannot go much better for them. Part of the reason they had such success in the midterms is they labeled the GOP a bunch Trumper MAGA Cultists who have no idea how to do their job and have no interest in governing. They can't even get a rubber stamp job done because they care more about settling old scores than their job. This isn't even tripling down on bad narratives anymore (that comes after this cluster!) this is just them being friggin incompetent on a national stage and almost reveling in it.
Long Story Short (bus) there is no plan, there is no plot, there isn't even a point other than just screwing over Qevin. This isn't Chess, this isn't Checkers, this isn't even Old Maid. This is the toddler in the sandbox who takes any toy someone else has (even the ones they dont want) just to make sure the other kids dont have them.
As for the conspiracy...unless you get a chance to kill Biden and Harris at the same time it will never work...and they aren't usually in public together for this very reason.
edit: forgot to add, while all of this is going on Biden is doing a victory lap in Kentucky with McConnell over Infrastructure. The ads in 2 years write themselves. They will show Biden doing actual work, while the GOP can't even do the fake work BEFORE the real work. It is going to be fun to watch.
