Good lord...normally I would say he is dead on arrival now but in the current GOP he will probably still be speaker. Meanwhile Al Franken is nowhere to be seen.

But we need to continue to legitimize people like this so we can hear both sides, right?

I really really really like this candidate. A lot. Wish she was representing me.

Re: 115th Congress - Fantastik! Try to remember we vote in November.

The best was when some conservative TV guy showed her childhood home (which looks pretty nice) saying how her whole story of growing up tough in the Bronx or whatever is a lie. Even said she went to Brown to try and make her sound elitist. She tweeted back at the guy saying her mom scrubbed floors to live in that house (which is in a working class neighborhood) and that she went to BU not Brown. (even telling him try Google sometime) He walked back the Ivy League stuff but not her childhood and then invited him on her show. These people are shameless.

When mookie was at BU, then president silber actually gave an hour+ long talk on how our school was superior to Brown :)

Rather entertaining :p

Where is the Nazi version of this bill?

Will she still be on the ballot in NY-14 & 15?

Re: 115th Congress - Fantastik! Try to remember we vote in November.

And if climate change is all that it's cracked up to be, they'll all be up to their arses in water.

@NormOrnstein: I want to repeat a statistic I use in every talk: by 2040 or so, 70 percent of Americans will live in 15 states. Meaning 30 percent will choose 70 senators. And the 30% will be older, whiter, more rural, more male than the 70 percent. Unsettling to say the least https://twitter.com/paulwaldman1/status/1016784128753176577

Where is the Nazi version of this bill?

Ho. Ly. Sh**.

This is a clear violation of the 1st.

Did you guys actually bother to read the bill?

Here is the operative language:

“(a) In general.—Whoever, whether or not acting under color of law, while in disguise, including while wearing a mask, injures, oppresses, threatens, or intimidates any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same, shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 15 years, or both.

That said, it's a ridiculous bill. A fifteen year prison sentence for what amounts to a common assault charge, while wearing a hockey mask. Plus, with language like that, it has the capability of being used in a far broader scope than going after anti-facists.

Interesting.

Whynt bill gates buy all of Idaho for example, then evict everyone?

He and the wife can live there exclusively and each cast ballots for the other to be senators :)

I did...and the problem with it is exactly what you say so I am not exactly sure what your issue or point is?
