I don't think I've heard about Tech putting up these many goals, since their win over Michigan IIRC in the 2000 GLI...they must have had a lot pent up rage over last weekend.

And as for doomsday speculation, UAH folded already. And I predict they are the first of a few.

That is the whole problem I have with the NaCHo teams. When the Michigan schools bolted, they did it to help the new programs to continue to evolve (Bowling Green, Ohio State, etc.) in the CCHA that was forming, knowing that all the teams they were leaving behind would be fine. The NaCHo teams all bolted on the premise to hoard revenue and put the "weaker" teams they were leaving behind in even worse shape.

Nice to see Tech take it to DU early and for Robo to stand his ground. Big win for the Huskies tonight.

I wish I had checked in this thread earlier in the week. There are two things that I would like to say about the conference thing.

1) The way it went down leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I understand why it was done, but I don't like it. And I am not alone among DU fans. I have several friends who feel the same way.

2) I am a DU fan. Some people may question my loyalty (it certainly wouldn't be the first time) but I sure as heck am not going to stop cheering for my team because they did something I don't like. In the end, this isn't politics, it isn't war, it isn't the future of our nation, it's a game.

As for Gwoz's move tonight, I can't say it shocks me. I know a lot of people hate him, but I really don't get that. I like the guy and I probably always will.

Let me clue you in here bro. Your STUPID statement about THROWING the game when DU is down 4-1 and just took yet another penalty, is, well, STUPID. This problem with our team has been going on for a number of weeks now. He's used other methods, even calling a timeout up 7-0 last Saturday, when the team was exhibiting the same behavior. You are so far removed from our program and consequently don't have a clue of what's going on, that your comments come out as STUPID. Perhaps if you go do a bit of learning and repost, I'll give your comments the time of day. Until then, ****.

Speaking of knowing nothing about the other program.....all of YOUR comments this week has shown how little YOU know about how Tech is playing this year and the status of MTU's program with Mel Pearson as a coach. What DU witnessed tonight is the energy that Tech has been possessing all season so far.

So before you decide to be Mr. Flame again and insult someone's posting intelligence, take a look at your own. Just saying.

I'd rather be in the NCHC with our eight schools, than in the current WCHA with the 12 existing schools. Unfortunately we have to wait until 2013.

First I just want to say to all of the Tech doubters and DU *********s to suck it...over rated? or is Tech just that much better this year? We'll find out tmrw night and another month or so into the season.

Anywho...First off we all know that DU is gonna come out a lot harder tmrw night than they did tonight. I didn't read all of the posts but if someone thinks that DU lost because they had jet lag or bus legs, they are just trying to find a lame *** excuse. I played high school hockey at the SDC and the teams get there the thursday before the game, so theres no excuse for "bus legs". on to the jet lag, they are actually behind us, so they should be more rested.

Second...I was actually kind of nervous when DU pulled their goalie because I watched them do it before and they won(not sure what game it was). Now for the best part of that whole pulling the goalie...first off, I now get 50 percent off at dominoes...second, I don't think DU had a shot on net in the 2 or 3 minutes they were 6 on 5, so even if tech didn't score those 3 goals, they still would have won 4-2(most likely anyway). And third, 2 of the 3 goals that Tech scored short handed weren't dusty *** goals, one was actually a breakaway, and the other would have been a quality shot, the third barely went in, but it still counts and thats all that matters.

overall it was a solid win for the Huskies and I was jacked to witness the game. Hopefully tech can put up a few more shots tmrw night because they're definitely going to need more shots.
