Re: 0 Days Since Last Mass Killing: Maybe It's the Person, Not the Gun...

The only way this is ever going to change is if the next 40 or 50 targets of mass shootings are clearly aimed at right-wing conservatives. White, Christian churches, shooting ranges, Lee Greenwood concerts, lets see 5 or 600 people shot dead there in 50 mass shootings and see if the gun nuts don't want some strict laws. As noted below, Ronald Reagan, with the blessing of the NRA, signed gun control laws in California to combat scary black people arming themselves.

Jeezuz.

Re: 0 Days Since Last Mass Killing: Maybe It's the Person, Not the Gun...

Once again, actions of an idividual....

Sorry, Democrats/left are the almighty knowledgeable ones. Everyone must bow down to them. How about stepping back and seeing the forest from the trees?

Brent this is not a both sides issue and it's not even close. There are examples on both sides but the scale is overwhelmingly tipped to the right. Never mind we have PROMINENT Republican leaders including the freaking PRESIDENT himself stirring the pot more than anyone has ever done before. Trump has emboldened racists and misogynists all over this country and by refusing to tone down his own rhetoric at his Daddy Needs Love Rallies he validates the idea that violence is acceptable when visited upon his political opposition. That is something not happening on the left. You claim to be a centrist yet your head so deeply buried on this debate.

Kirstjen Nielsen sounds just like Brent on Fox News this morning.

The politicians we've elected (or who stole their seats via gerrymandering and voter suppression) have made our country a laughingstock. I'd wish eternal d a m nation for all of them, but I have more sympathy for the Devil than some of the pols currently in office.

Typical lefty.

See how ridiculous that is, folks? ;)

Re: 0 Days Since Last Mass Killing: Maybe It's the Person, Not the Gun...

I chose my words wrong people. I'm only saying this won't change because the people who don't believe it needs to change have not been specifically targeted. If they were, you can bet your bottom dollar they too would believe something different needs to be done. So fvck all of you who think I am advocating some left wing nut job needs to crash an NRA convention and shoot up the place. I don't want ANYONE shot. Not a liberal, not a conservative, not the president, no one. I just happen to believe this is never going to end. It is the new normal. Every few weeks another fool with easy access to a gun is going to shoot 5 or 10 or 50 people who never hurt him, we'll see the 20th thread like this, the president will tweet something about NFL players kneeling -- assuming the baseball season is over when the next one happens, but you never know since it could go 4 more days -- and we'll all count the days until the next fool with easy access to a gun shoots 5, or 10, or 50 people who never hurt him.... lather, rinse, repeat.

Jason Chaffetz on Fox went both ways as well. Still trying to see which left wing conspiracy nuts have a full time pundit job on a Major Cable News Network.

This is indeed leading to a police state, which is utter BS. Ugh. We cannot control our emotions as a society. Even more ugh. It sickens me.

If that's a given, then shouldn't we control society's access to mass-killing weaponry? Given that society can't control themselves, and all.

Re: 0 Days Since Last Mass Killing: Maybe It's the Person, Not the Gun...

They could have classified the whole left as having that attitude. They didn't. Next? Right now, the left are hypocrites. Don't judge a group on the basis of one. Yet, here they are, judging.

They didn't? The "radical leftist mob", gonna resort to violence if they lose this election?

Jesus, pull your head out of your azz.

The people shot at the church in Texas are exactly the kind of people you are talking about. If you’re a non criminal the odds of dying in a firearm homicide are approximately one in 10 million each year. One side understands that and the other doesn't.

What are those odds for other countries?

Those poor people at the synagogue, just the luck of the draw for them. Nothing anyone could do.

I'm just glad that Homeland Security is putting all their effort into watching a caravan of poor people a thousand miles from the border while Domestic Terrorism is occurring at home.

Me too. Priorities.

I also hear another conspiracy on Fox News Sunday this morning. Did you know that the Democrats are in charge of the caravan?

Re: 0 Days Since Last Mass Killing: Maybe It's the Person, Not the Gun...

They ought to just quote Will Rogers every time they whip out their daily asinine conspiracy theory.
