There needs to be a study on the spatial awareness of those who shop at Costco on a Saturday. it can't simply just be that there are more people. Of course, I was also one of those people shopping at Costco on a Saturday...

See also... how is it that at any airport at any given time, 98% of people are clearly in an airport for the very first time

I see your home airport and raise you MCO. 98% of parties are elderly, have toddlers, or both, and are flying for their one and only time ever.

My first trip there, Precheck was a pretty new thing. I had it, but my wife hadn't signed up yet. I literally told her I would refuse to travel through MCO with her unless she got it - and I meant it. I think the people I saw on that first trip are still in the TSA line.

MCO is the absolute worst. For once my wife’s chronic pain issues became a good thing because the disabled line was so short.

“Your ticket order could not be fulfilled because you left a single seat open adjacent to your selection.”

Okay, then where did all these single tickets I see sitting out there come from?

"Let's bring the entire extended family and then walk down the main aisle side-by-side and slowly."

New laptop was supposed to be delivered today. Requires a signature, but no worries since I work from home on Mondays. Wife and kiddo both get home around 3. At 3:45 I leave the house to head to the store for 20 minutes to get provisions for dinner. Of course FedEx shows up during that 20 minute window, but my wife is home so it should be fine.

Except I didn't specifically tell her the delivery needed a signature. And she's been concerned for a few weeks about a former client that has had some stalkerish behavior towards her (to the point he is trespassed from their office). So when fedex knocked, my daughter freaked out that there was an adult man at the door (because we told her not to open the door for any adults for the next little bit just to be safe, even though there's no indication the client knows where we live), neither of them bothered to look out a window to see the bigass FedEx truck out front, and they didn't answer the door.

Yes, I should've told her it was coming, but my counter point is we get amazon and other ecommerce orders regularly (probably too regularly) and there's been no signs of concern when they ring the doorbell.

I fully get my wife's concerns, I do, especially since in 15 years as a public defender this is the first client that's really troubled her, so it's not like this is an overreaction or regular occurrence. But it's still frustrating to now have to play tag with FedEx on days when I'm working in the office for the rest of the week just because i went grocery shopping for 20 minutes while there was an adult still in the house. My wife says she's working from home all day tomorrow, but I also know she has a meeting with her boss at some point to discuss staffing cause they just lost an attorney from their office, so i figure based on my luck that's going to happen right when fedex shows up again.

Yeah, yeah; 1st world problems, male privilege, etc, etc. I know. But I have to vent somewhere.
