WCHA 2025-26

Such a shame about #18. Her physical skills are exceptional. Great quickness and acceleration. Great puck handler and has a very good shot as well. Many things from the physical skills side of things that she just "has' and some that she has developed with practice. So she has discipline to have worked on her craft from that standpoint. My question is how come she can't get it together on the mental side of things? To me, all the nonsense she does seems correctable more so than trying to correct skating or shooting.

I'm glad I don't have to coach her, or have to make a choice about keeping her on the ice because I would lean towards at least sitting her butt down on the bench or, in the case of coming back this year, encourage her to move on the PWHL.

Lindy's at MSU - STU won a couple and outshooting the Lindy's handily, one would expect the same with MSU.
TWSNBN at Toothpaste - Fascinating match-up, both had massive roster changes.
UMtc at BU - Interesting measuring stick series for the BU and BC comparo. I think most of us for the pure entrainment value would love to see BU perform better than BC.
Maine at Udub - Maine played #10 Q hard, so there's that.
Bob M at BSU - GO wcha.

A small-ish indictation of Kaia Malachino's injury, finally. Not on the line chart for Ohio State tonight, and the announcer said she won't be playing at all this weekend, but didn't say any more than that,

I accept the truth of your first sentence. Given how narrow the gap between UM and BC was, getting swept by any team better than BC is the only rational conclusion.

Likely many words (including colorful methaphors) have been said about my conclusions...Rational is probably not one of them.

So far, The WCHA is showing well tonight in non-conference.

Yuckeyes over toothpaste 4-2 about halfway through the 3rd period
Tunnelers over BU 3-0, in the 3rd.
Lumberjills 2-0 over BobbyM in the 2nd period
Landcows 3-0 over Lindenwoodhead in the 2nd period.
Sinners just starting with Maine.

Update...

Yuckeyes defeat toothpaste 5-3
Tunnelers defeat BU 5-0
Lumberjills defeat BobbyM 3-0
Landcows defeat Lindenwoodhead 4-0
Sinners defeat Maine 5-0

Well, In spite of the Tunnelers attempting to lose to a Hockey Least team, the rest of the WCHA did well.

Yuckeyes pounded toothpaste 9-4
Sinners cruised by Maine 5-0
Landcows got the W over Lindenwoodhead 3-2
Lumberjills rolled past BobbyM 4-1
Tunnelers escape BU with a 5-2 victory despite being down 2-1 after 2 periods

And The WCHA's record against Hockey Least goes to 7-1 with outscoring them 41-6

rumor is that she is out for at least another month or even two.

Sorry for her that she got injured. Not sorry for OhSU or the NIL donor that went all-in to get her (and tried to get Murphy)
